    Mathematically, no. Phx would have to win, then lose to SA and utah would have to lose to portland

    It is when finishing 8th gets you no draft pick and finishing 9th does.

    Just one who thinks long term and not about short term satisfaction of a 4-1 series against the Spurs.

    You lose the draft pick eventually.

    If we make the playoffs, it makes houston look just a little bit more enticing to free agents. 'We're a playoff team with 1 missing piece away from being contenders'...that kind of thing. Dwill wanted the nets to get gerald wallace instead of getting a potential top 5 pick in this years draft. Some players think like that.

    besides, there's not a whole lot of difference between picking 13 and picking 15

    Well y'all can believe that. I've not seen anything like that happen. If this team had a superstar player like Kevin Love then yes I could see that happen.

    There is a huge difference if you are trying to move up.

    13+15+ a player like Lowry is a pretty good deal to move into the top 10.

    Getting a high potential player in the draft this year should be this teams top priority, and it will be a lot easier with that added 13th/14th pick. We'll see what Morey does.

    Are you saying 13 + 15 + Lowry for someone in the top 10?

    Because the only player I see worth what we would give up, would be Anthony Davis.

    And whoever wins the lotto won't trade Davis.

    im gonna say this, utah has a lot of talent. they are not a semi-scrambled together team like the rockets or a superstar with a bunch of scrubs. they have harris, millsap, jefferson who are either current or former all stars. non of our players will ever be an allstar.

    False thinking, just like the front office. :rolleyes:

    We're the 8th seed but one piece away from challenging OKC, Miami and Chicago for the title!!!

    Stop it!:eek::p

    You are overrating Lowry. His potential has peeked likely and several players going in the top 10 will have higher ceilings than him.
