What about using the TE with Alston to do a sign & trade for Al Harrington? Then draft Rodney Carney with our first pick, draft a PG with our second pick, and sign Mike James for the full MLE?

    PG: James/2nd pick
    SG: McGrady/Head
    SF: Harrington/Carney
    PF: Howard/Swift
    C: Yao/Mutumbo
    Bench: Padgett, Bowen

Yea we could, But didn't they say now that Luol Deng is expendable now because of Nocioni's playoff performance?

I would love Luol Deng off our bench...

Great athlete and seems like a good kid.

Amazing wingspan and can help Tracy by guarding the other team's main wingman, letting Tracy use more of his energy in running the team on the offensive end.

Everyone assumes Deke is coming back next year, but are we sure. I know he has a contract that says he will, but he obviously didn't have a year to write home about last year. He is a tradable commodity, whether he goes or retires is another question. I am just not sure we should 'hang our hat' on him being back. If he doesn't come back we have a blank spot to cover. "Badiane ?" I think he had a pretty good year this go-round in Europe. "Swift + Lampe ?"

Screw that, i want Deng as our starting shooting guard. Have him shoot 1000 jumpers a day to work on his range and we'll have a HUGE 2/3 combination.

This helps us defend teams like Dallas. Spurs are having trouble because they need to commit Bowen to either Howard or Dirk. Having two guys roughly the same size and length could do some serious damage.

How much Antonio McDyess make? Can we pry him out of Detroit somehow. He's playing great, has a nice little jumper, still pretty athletic with the putback dunks and gets rebounds.

Swift could be a very nice addition to the Pistons since they don't have any glaring needs. He could provide them with some excellent weak side help, youth, and out of the gym athletecisim. I could easily see him being their 6th man and giving this team a different dimension. Head would spell Hamilton and Billups and give them some outside shooting and perimeter defense that they currently lack out of any one bench player. Detroit was high on Head before we drafted him last year. There could still be some strong interest.

Evans would provide some tough perimeter defense and athletecisim we lack at the 2 and Delfino gives us an offensive threat in the back court over 6-6. Maxiell and Dale Davis would give us some much needed depth and experience in the front court. Davis has only one year left at 3.5 mill. and the others have very manageable rookie contracts. The primary reason we do this trade is to shore up our glaring holes we have at multiple positions and also lose Swift's long contract in the process. :D This trade would then allow us to use our TE, MLE, and draft picks on the best available players, not biggest need, while giving us players with good playoff experience.

Most of these players averaged less than 10 min. per game so there's still some uncertainty on how productive they can really be. Therfore, the Rockets should insist on the Piston's 1st rounder(highly unlikely) since most of the players are still fairly (unknown)unexperienced and could have major weaknesses given prolonged minutes throughout an 82 game season. ;)

You're joking right? Or you MUST be a Pistons fan. The only decent player we would get in return is Mo Evans. Delfino gives us an offensive threat? LOL that's the funniest thing I've heard in a long time. 3.6ppg is real threatening.

As for Dale Davis he hasn't had a significant role in like 4 years not to mention the fact that he's old and his game was based on hustle/athleticism/force which he no longer has. I don't wan't him even if it is just for a year and he has an expiring contract. Lets try and break the trend of trading and or sigining old washed up has been players.

    Jason Maxiell? Who?

    Actually,

Delfino averages more pts. than Head given the same minutes and is 3-4 inches taller. Dale Davis, also, still manages more rebounds and blocks than Swift given the same minutes.

and Maxiell is right there too.

    Sad, isn't it..............
