the "under-publicized" thunder-lakers game is huge. this is a potential playoff series down the road. if the thunder can win this game on the road, it'll be huge for their confidence if they face the lakers down the line.

and they're on fire right now; westbrook is absolutely dominating.

EDIT: ibaka and perkins will guard the lakers big men 1-on-1. the thunder can also guard kobe 1-on-1. wow.

and i'm really curious what kind of jump westbrook will make next year. his jumper can still improve, along with his decision making. he's already a great defender. when he's on, this guy is absolutely scary and can dominate almost every aspect of a game.

BOTH teams want this game real bad. loving the playoff atmosphere.

The Thunder frontcourt is giving Bynum problems.

And seems like Durant is learning how to play physical.

The Thunder are seriously good. They have one of the best benches in the league.

Heat Celtics 10 page game thread, Lakers Thunder 1/2 page so far.

This game is just as big, as the Thunder are struggled against the Lakers, and need to show they can win against them, as they will have to go thru the Lakers to get into the finals.
Lakers need to win, to keep there chances for home court in the finals.

I've been wondering as to whether the Celtics inquired about James Harden. I really think he would have been a huge boost on the wings for them.

The Thunder wouldn't have made the trade. They knew Harden was better than Green.

Wow, anyone see Chris Paul's box score? 0 points in 28 minutes. I bolded every other stat to try and make it easier to read.

Starters Pos Min FG 3Pt FT +/- Off Reb Ast TO Stl BS BA PF Pts
    C. Paul(notes) G 28:38 0-6 0-1 0-2 -12 0 3 10 2 2 0 0 1 0

I wonder when the last time he went scoreless was?

only caught glimpses of the game but Memphis is playing on a whole different level since the All Star break. Memphis/San Antonio should be a really good first round series.

If I were the Spurs/Lakers, I wouldn't want to be pitted against the Grizzlies.

the east first rounds are boring; the west first rounds will generate some upsets

the lakers won't lose. the spurs/mavs are ripe for the taking

however, the east 2nd round will generate some all-time great series. after the first round, the only series that matters in the west (if it comes about) is the thunder vs lakers

I don't think the Lakers would struggle with them but I think they could give the Spurs some trouble.

    I wish Rudy was playing.

Even though rockets are out at least I get to enjoy quality basketball matchups without stress, especially in the playoffs.
