You don't think having to jump and land that high multiple times a game is not gonna wreck your legs long term? Just common sense.
Im glad to hear the Rockets are thinking this way. Placing length as a priority. Its obvious the way the league is going. Also, another thing that I said earlier, having Amen at the PG it makes him more compelling, than on the wing....ITS BASKETBALL 101 Finally, I was glad to hear the news about KPJ as well. If he's with the Rockets or not in the future, he was 22yrs old and made he made a mistake. Glad they didn't just drop him. Hope he gets another chance
Didn't Nate Robinson have a short and injury plagued career? Thanks for proving my point. I don't care about Reed Sheppards health he will be a millionaire. I'm just looking at it as a talent evaluator using the third pick. It's great for highlights but always having to jump and land forcefully that's not good for your career longevity. If you look at Amen although he is extremely athletic he doesn't need to jump that high to get to the ball that's because he is 6'7 and not 6'1.75.
Nate retired because of kidney failure, not legs. And he played 10 years. That’s hardly a short career. Not everybody is LeBron.
10 yrs for a PG is short. Also what does him retiring due to kidney failure have to do with anything? Dude has had multiple season ending injuries including ACL and ankle injuries.
It means a guy who always needs to jump and land to do anything gonna have a short career whereas a guy who doesn't need to jump high to do what he does gonna have more longevity.
They were saying he couldn't put the ball on the floor. That he's just not a spot up shooter. That's not true. Could you imagine a lineup to finish the game of; JABARI TARI RISACHER GREEN/CAM AMEN The defensive aspect would be insane. Everyone could switch. My inital choice is Clingan but I understand them wanting Risacher too[/QUOTE]
It’s sad Clyde Drexler only played 3 seasons before all that jumping wrecked his knees. That dude had Top 50/HOF potential.
Some people always go for the shorties that's why they always get burned. Haven't seen a shorty lead his team to a chip besides Steph Curry and Billups with 3-5 all stars.
Based on the selections of Sengun, Eason, Thompson and Whitmore I'm trusting the Rockets scouting department to do right. Jalen and Jabari have been meh selections to date but 4 out of 6 ain't bad. I really hope they can get two players out of this draft like they have in years past. One big and one shooter.
He's not going to need a 42 inch jump on every play. That's ridiculous. He's almost two inches taller than FVV, who does fine without anywhere close to a 42 inch vertical.
