No Clingan, please. I'm on the Reed or bust train if the Rockets draft at 3. Lots of intriguing prospects around 10 and late lottery.

They all look like babies. I'm almost 50 and I looked young for my age until health problems made me go grey. I remember looking at my father's high school yearbook and everybody looked like they were 30. The estrogen, forever chemicals, etc have transformed us forever. Look up how the Russians bred the aggression out of foxes and they looked like puppies. The same thing in a different perspective is happening to us without testosterone. We used to be wolves, now were beagles.

If we are a bottom 11 team that would be extremely disappointing.

So touching back on this, Sheppard looked amazing in his first Summer League game scoring 23 points on 60+ TS% with 5 assists, 4 rebounds, and 4 STOCKS

Rob Dillingham looked like ass scoring 4 points on 12 shots 0-5 from 3, but he did have 5 assists.

Castle currently has 22 points on 20 shots and very much looks like yet another low BBIQ athlete chucker.

Clingan currently has 2 points on 8 shots but 12 boards and 5 blocks....so basically a no offense lumbering big man.

Ron Holland also struggled having 15 points on 15 shots in an unremarkable performance

Salaun came off the bench for 15 minutes scoring 8 points on 7 shots and went 0-3 from 3

Bottom 10 and we keep our pick but yeah that would be extremely disappointing and absolute worst case scenario.

I thought 25 was a pick swap year (top 10 protected) but that doesn't have us picking at all. Did we lose it somehow in the BKN trade back?

I think the rockets likely e d up with the thunder pick and then can trade that for the suns pick.

We know better than to light the cigar after one summer league game though, right?

Every year it’s chanted that summer league means very little, don’t get too excited, etc. Feels like a lot of people are forgetting this right now.

I’d save the victory laps until we get through some regular season games, personally.

True, but it's nice to have picked the guy that looked the best even in the first Summer League game.

I look at Summer League the same as the G league, doing well doesn't mean you'll look good in the NBA, but looking bad is a really bad sign at least in the short term.

Pretty much all of the main first round guys looked like what I thought they were heading into the draft, we'll see if that remains true.

We have our own, OkC, or Phoenix pick. I don’t see where that has been accounted for. Leave it to espn to not understand the topic they are opining on.

Yes and no. You can always see the flashes of why they were selected.
True but you can see flashes of why teams drafted their prospects in summer league games. Someone mentioned Donte Green 40pt debut. He got hot. However, Aaron Brooks quickness, speed and 3pt accuracy were also showcased throughout the games.

Reed's range isn't luck or a case of getting hot, nor are his active quick hands. We saw those same flashes on the defensive end with Jabari, Eason and Amen in their debuts.

How is Castle doing? I see the nba is slurping him up because he's a spurs player.

Reed won't look as good in other games. He played well and he's going to be a player for sure but he was being defended by Bronny and the whole Lakers SL team that's pretty bad

Sarr is currently 0-11 in 20 minutes vs Portland and Wizard fans are going nuts on my timeline. Someone on Rocketswatch was trying to tell me I didn’t know anything about basketball when I compared him to Jordan Hill and told me he was going to be a star - anybody will think themselves a talent evaluator nowadays. This is Wiseman, Thabeet, Stromile level bust here and you could see it from a mile away. Relied on physicals with zero feel for the game and zero motor is a recipe for disaster. It was a miracle that Washington fell for it and let Reed fall to us.
