I dunno if this was posted anywhere... but a nice little clip of some of the new training techniques and a little bit of insider on this year's conditioning strategy. http://v.youku.com/v_show/id_XMTIxMjU3OTQw.html
I think that every year durvasa, and every year I get denver or new jersey or new orleans. Bring on the Rockets real training!!
good to see chuck hayes still featured in the post. you actually hear someone shout "post up chuck, post up chuck." then chuck flashes to the post and is promptly given the ball. he then shows off his patented fade-away hook shot over the much taller defender, which results in his patented clank off the rim. someone tell me who was calling for chuck to post up and why exactly is this still an option?
Lol. It's probably something he's been working on hard this summer. Much like every summer... But anyway, I think they were just trying it out. That's what training camp is for.
Also, we're still trying to find our starting frontcourt, and if chuck magically developed a decent offensive game this summer, he'd be a definite starter I would think.
wow. tmac looks really great. i am very impressed at how much he was able to trim down. he looks as slim as he did back in 2004.
Can somebody let me know if Brooks has improved on his passing and creating for his team mates. How about the Rockets defense? most posts have focused on the offensive aspect of the Rockets but it has been their defense that has brought them success. I wonder how their D will hold now that there is no Yao in the middle. How is the Rockets D? Will someone help on answering this please.
Tmac not wearing a knee brace. Was he just practicing his J or did he run with the team? Good sign if he ran with the team without a brace.
I totally agree with you and I also wouldn't be surprise if the most improvement at the PG position is from Lowry and not Brooks. I still prefer Lowry's overall decision making from the position at both ends of the floor to Brooks. If Brooks learns to use he quickness correctly then may be that difference would decrease. No more leaving his feet in the paint with nowhere to go!!! That's the biggest and most immediate improvement that Brooks can make yet I would still expect Lowry to show the greatest growth of the two.
I agree as well. Lowry seems very composed already. Very patient, stable point guard. Lowry seems as though he could develop into a do-it-all PG, with his only weakness being his jump shot. I can see him being somewhat of a mini-DWilliams. Brooks on the other hand, still seems a little one-dimensional at this point. His offensive game is unchallenged, no doubt. But he still lacks the size to play decent defense. I'm also looking forward to seeing his playmaking skills this season. I wanna see if he can really develop into a 'point guard', not just an offensive spark. This is where the comparison to Tony Parker come in . Tony Parker is a beast offensively, but you don't expect much from him defensively. Plus, you only expect about 5 assists from the guy. But I'm no expert, and I can't tell the future, so we'll have to wait til a little into the season to really judge potential and decide who's 'better'.
