Sure, generalize, and try not to understand what I'm saying. A double team SHOULD be easily countered. If you think these professional players don't know how to play or make a bucket or execute, then it's more about the preparation or their belief in whatever plan they got. Having Harden simply on the outside and receive the double team is taking a passive approach to countering. We're letting the defense dictate our offense from the half court line. If the coach was a coach, he'd find ways to get Harden the ball within the 3-line without having to see a double before he gets there. But no, the coach is stubborn. Fans who bash other fans for "whining" should care less about the perception of the team and more about how our team can get better - especially when it's not just me who thinks the coach is the problem. We have local journalists genuinely pondering different ideas of alternative coaching schemes that would be more viable than what we're seeing.

    LOL

Fans who thinks they are better coaches than a HOF NBA coach. Let me know when you get your NBA job and I will be first in line to eat crow.

Dumb. Keep watching the same counter and pretend to enjoy it. No one is claiming to be coach - only that MDA is at best average in the bunch. My point is that the average fan can see that even his adjustments are predictable. With the kind of talent we have at this point of Harden and Russ's careers, it becomes that much more important to have the right coach to not only raise the floor but also raise their ceiling.

The issue is depends on the success rate
The offense is to put people in a position to have the most success.
    Open Threes .. . . Layups.. . .sounds good
So it was working .. but the players were not hitting

The Coach is suppose to just give up on the game plan in the middle of the game
Rather than saying "I have confidence that they will eventually hit those shots"
he should say . . . the shots they normally hit are not falling so let's try something we never do

Kerr didn’t really do anything special and honestly neither did Walton or Nurse. There are only so many things a coaching staff can do defending a perimeter player. When teams have trapped or doubled/tripled in the past they stopped because it led to open 3’s and penetration and over a larger sample size we won.

The Rockets did not hit their open 3’s against the Warriors. The Warriors decided Harden would not beat them alone. James was still very good and efficient but his teammates missed shots. The role players will not keep missing 3’s.... Harden, Tucker, House, Gordon and McLemore are all good 3 point shooters. The one wrinkle GS has is Draymond Green has the ability to get out to the corners to disrupt 3’s.

The Rockets lost in part for the same reason the Bucks and Nuggets lost. It was Christmas and they really didn’t want to play. Couple that with poor shooting and you have a loss.

It really doesn’t need to be over analyzed. The Rockets have flaws and the Warriors game didn’t change anything perspective wise.

Westbrook was 0-8 as a role player.

Teams are baiting him to shoot and his arrogance fails us as he bricks shot after shot.

Welp problem is it won't be just one game with Westbrook. We're going to see alot of this with Westbrook and it will eventually make everyone pull their hair out.

CF does not need Russ to pull their hair out. Lot of drama queens on this board.

And Russ, like every human, has his weaknesses and off nights.

Let the first fan who does not have a bad day cast first stone. But lot of do nothing overweight MFers who always think they know or can do better.

Some may not like Westbrook, I was one before he was a Rocket, but he deserved every accolade he received by talent and out hustling his competition.
