He looked like the Stepford GM out there. Morey needs to grow a moustache, at least, and maybe a goatee. I think it'd help.

It's not only the young looking. You can just tell he is very uneasy in the conference due to inexperience. This team is at a critical stage. I hope this isnt the place for him to grow as a GM. You know that wisebro guy screw up Magic in just one year.

Adelman designed systems to fit for players, on the contrary, JVG forced players to fit into his system. JVG is an idiot.

Adelman said the roster was ready to go, JVG and his boyfriends said the roster wasn't good enough to pass the 1st round.

    Adelman >>>> JVG

Lol les is so defensive the whole press conference and the gm barely even talked. Les just comes off bad after that press conference in my eyes, but Adelman impressed me.

I just hope chuck is coming back... and all this talk about bonzi, isnt' that tampering? Or can we talk about him as much as we want as long as he's under contract?

The Stepford GM comment was aimed at Morey's "deer in the headlights" expression throughout the whole thing. You got the sense that inside, he was going, "Far out! I'm actually a GM in a big news conference, introducing a new coach! WOW!!! Who'd a thunk it? Wonder what Mom thinks? Did I really just call Mister Alexander Leslie?? Oh My God!!!"

That's because the defense wasn't so focused on him during the regular season... when you play a team in the playoffs for at least 4 times, they are going to exploit every damn weakness you have. Unfortunately, Yao only knew how to play one way under JVG, so when that didn't work, all hell broke loose.

I don't think this comment is fair enough for Yao. The Jazz were able to force Yao into some rushed shoots because the small Jazz player dared to attempt to poke the ball away from Yao without having to worry much on the perimeter Rockets players. And that is also why I felt Adelman's system will work much better offensively because he wouldn't allow other players simply standing to watch Yao and Mac to work their plays while the others just having to pick up some kickouts and brick a few threes.

I thought Yao showed in the first 3 -4 games in the Utah series.

I am not sure I agree with Rick that Yao needs to be more efficient assessment. What Yao needs to be better at is taking care of the ball and be more consistent. As far as efficiency goes, there is not much you can ask from a guy posting that type of number on that percentage already.

Now, Yao at high post playing like webber and Miller. It just doesnt too appealing for some reason to me. Some poster alreay mentioned that Yao's man is not going to even be concerned that he is going to put the ball on the floor to the hole. Yao's options will be more limitted than either Webber or Miller. That pretty much reduce him to an elbow jumpshooter. I am not against Yao operates at high post, but I sure hope he is not used like B.Miller, who doest have a post game whatsoever.

whatever, the defense is almost always focused on yao ming. if anything he mostly had single coverage from okur against the jazz and would have abused him had he been healthy. this isn't about coaching, this is about yao taking care of business.

yao was 85-90% healthy dude. dont make it seem like he's really injured. and it wasn't just okur. he was shooting fadeaway over milsap too.

I hope they won't sign him for the MLE. That would be terrible.

    man

I am so happy about this

it makes me feel real good waiting for next season

I was right with Adelman from the begining, everyone is very confident in his coaching abilities with the rockets, on what he can do with this team...

here is something interesting he said and I mentioned this morning

"if you can put a player in a position to be better, and they feel that, they know thats happening, thats gonna make the team better, they gonna buy in"

this is very important, JVG missed this point and made them look like robots, everything was forced and many players just didn't feel the rhytm of the game

I think were gonna see alot more cuts by tracy. he'll have to be smarter off the ball so he's teammates can get him some easy looks./
Bonzi is by all reports gonna be back. Adelman wants him back and he will be back.
We got a awesom coach guys. i can allready invision a much more smart offense. we'll see alot easier shots due to great movement off the ball. damn i'm excited......

Less turnovers. he said it's upto he's teammates to he's temmates to get the ball to yao in a position where he'll be able to get easy look and less turnovers. that is a very smart assesment. we had noone besides tracy who could make a capable entery pass. .. it's upto he's teammates to make it easier for yao...

I watched the video conference once again, basically, Aledman told us that Rox was a very good team, had many good players, but didn't have a good coach. :D :D
