    So much T-Mac.

Interesting time for the NBA and remembering how they floundered a bit in the post-jordan era. AI was the poster child for it. Great player, but misunderstood by the public.

Looking at these pictures makes me miss the mid 2000's just saying.

Don't think I've ever see an NBA player wear a glove before. When was this where Kobe is where a white glove?

Kobe busted his hand before the 1999-00 season started. IMO it allowed the Lakers to credibly develop the triple post around Shaq while he was out. Portland may have taken home court/the overall edge were it not for Bryant's time out.

And really, this just documents my long frustration with SLAM, dating back to high school. These dudes just go way over the top with things. Chris Webber, in his lone year with the Wizards, doesn't really need a breathless "Revolution No. 4" headline. Chris Webber and Jason Williams aren't a duo for the ages. Shareef Abdur-Rahim isn't some stone-cold assassin.

    "The reality" [isn't] "Derek Fisher."

I owned and read every one of these, up until 2002 or so. But even when I was a teenager I spent half my time rolling my eyes at this stuff. Take it easy, SLAM.

This confirmed my memory that Kobe didn't really get very high even in his prime.
