http://www.dallasobserver.com/2007-11-29/news/douchebags-in-the-mist/1 The column spans 7 pages - kind of a long read. Too difficult to copy paste all of it here. It's an older article (11/07) so I apologize in advance if you've already read it. But it's really funny and true. Enjoy!
I heard about that movie couple years ago, too bad it didn't workout, I was looking forward to seeing it. It's true Dallas are full of these wanna be's. I live in a crappy little apartment complex with people driving 60 grand BWM and Lexus. And a lot of them are migrating to Houston because girls in Dallas are starting to become immune to them. So watch out.
lol... from the comments section: "It's about sleeping with hot chicks. You play the role you have to play. ...otherwise you end up going home with a frumpy writer..."
Hysterical and true. I hope those guys all end up at McDonald's selling burgers while paying off enormous bankruptcy settlements. Duck Fallas.
We get tailgated by late model Escalades and BMWs just about every day while pulling into our neighborhood. We always just chuckle when we see them inevitably turn left behind us…..into the apartment complex at the front of the subdivision. We call them “credit card millionaires” and we laugh as we wonder how much debt they are currently drowning in - just to give the appearance of being rich - as we drive off in our PAID OFF 2002 Honda Accord.
Funny story: I spotted 4 authentic doucebags @ BW3 of all places. We were watching the Texans preseason game a few weeks back, and in walk these 4 guys, 19-20 years old (they drank sodas). All 4 were wearing tight as can be blue Abercrombe Finch t-shirts tucked into pressed cheans. All 4 had frosted hair w/ lots of product. Bracelets and neck chains. The whole time we were there, all 4 spent the whole time text messaging on their I-phones. Never watched any games, never ordered food, just spent 2 hours there sipping on coke refills and text messaging. It was the funniest sight. If those guys weren't d-bags, I don't know what is.
Those people that sit in Starbucks reading, studying, or sitting on their laptop. Those are the same exact horrible people. Just a different flavor.
She sounds like a schmuck even though some things she said were true. I could size that article down to 2 pages.
I am not in either one of these groups but I don't think these two groups are even close to being the same. VS
