Red Bull and Vodka Vodka 7 Cape Cod Long Island 7 and 7 Crown and Coke Gin and Tonic Thats the usual list I pick from when I'm out, but the majority of time I order one of the top 2. They are complimented nicely by several shots of Jager throughout the evening.
When they say "you call it" that means you call the type of liquor. (ex. instead of saying vodka tonic, u say sky tonic). When you generalize the liquor by vodka or rum, you receive the well brand, which is ****, and causes painful hangovers the next morning.
You beat me to it. And you aren't kidding about the cups. Depending on the club you'll also find bottles of beer for $8. As for drinks to request, everyone has already listed the usuals. The only thing I can come up w/ that's a little different is maybe vodka and ginger ale, which is used in several mixed drinks. Hmmm, maybe I'll try that next time.
$2 you call its are better. a lot of patron shots, makers on the rocks, bloody maries, and ketel one dirty martinis.
I love houston. Most expensive shots ive taken were 8 bucks. Patron shots. Usually spend around that much on any drink.
Nobody is. In the bartending biz, there are wells, calls, and premiums. "You call its" are always house wells and calls. The premiums are never included. As for the question: Rum & coke Jack Daniels & coke Screwdriver Vodka 7 Gin & tonic Any domestic beer
Bottle service in Houston is usually $200-300. Not all that unheard of. In fact, we've done the math. It's like buying all of your drinks at once, but you get VIP service for it, as well.
Fatty your right to some extent, but one you factor in a lot of little things you don't expect your looking at a lot more per drink then if you were buying them at the bar. Each bottle that your getting has techinically 20-25 drinks in it on a normal pour. Of course your going to pour heavy drinks for yourself. So you do the math. A bottle of grey goose - going rate of about $250 bucks. Mixers ( some places charge you for the mixers and also red bull is not part of the standar mixer price. They charge you $5.00 per can for that.) - so lets say on the low side $20.00 Then on bottle service they always automatically grat anywhere from 18% to 20% no matter what. Then the girls expect more since you are supposidly a baller. - $50 minimum tip on the table. So your looking at about $320 minimum on the table. Now divide the drinks by 20 you get about $17.50 a drink if you go with a normal bartender pour which no one is going to do on their own bottle then you get about 12.80 a drink. Grey good normally costs about $8-$9 a drink at most clubs in Houston. So you are definitly paying more if you do bottle service. You will most likely get a lot less than 20 drinks from a bottle becase so much gets spilled and you make bigger drinks. The bars know what they are doing when they do bottle service...you will see so many charges that you are like " they charge for that!!??" My friends and I for 3 years straight that's all we did at a club and i own a bar and know it doesn't make sense...it's more the fact that we wanted to party it up right and in VIP...of course we got a lot of hookups on top of that so it helped out.
You should try a 5 star general. I somehow got talked into taking two of them in one night. Not a good idea.
Well, in my experience, there aren't a whole lot of places that do this, but those that do are usually pubs, etc... Now you'll never find those type of specials in a high-end place, although I wish they would...Paying $10 a drink is ridiculous... My drink of choice, Gin or Vodka and Tonic, with limes...
