    I think both Seattle and Portland downtowns took a big hit from covid and the "riots" that occurred. Portland's downtown is slowly coming back...but may take years to get to the same vibrant state it was a few years ago. Homelessness in the PNW is a huge issue. I hate driving around the freeways here and seeing tents all over the place. Honestly, it's not so back to have a tent...it's the collateral mess that is left laying around that is really a detractor.

    Hope you guys made the one minute walk from Pike Place over to the Gum Wall. Disgusting and awesome...at the same time. :D

    We were only downtown for the touristy stuff. Stayed in an Airbnb in Redmond. I specificallydidnt want to stay downtown with the kids. That said, i really didnt see much homelessness. My understanding is its slowly getting better - but again, i barely hit downtown.

    Did hit the Chiluly glass museum and agreed, that place is fantastic - i was ready to start a glass blwoing hobby lol
