3 day trip to Chicago

Glad this was bumped! Leaving on October 5th for a 5 day trip there with the wife. I don't really care to go, but a happy wife is a happy life.

I'll be in Chicago for about six weeks straight (MON-FRI only, unless I want to stay a weekend or two). My client will be in Lake Forest, IL specifically. I'll have a rental though so can hit up anywhere.

Any further ideas appreciated.

 

The Art of Pizza. Also on the west side, hit up fat willy's. Some damn good ribs.. just had them yesterday.

Need to check that place out next time we head up there, we tried this past August but just couldn't make it.

Wicker Pack (Matchbox and Big Star)
ice skating at Millenium Park
Lakers game :grin:
watching WWE PPV at Rock's bar in Lincoln Park

That's...a lot of parks.

 

Lots of great bars downtown as well.

 

Rockit Bar and Grill is pretty nice. I was going there occasionally this past football season.

 

2nd favorite burger in city.... w/ truffle fries

 

I was thinking of hitting up Old Town Ale House. Is that a good spot? Anything else you'd recommend?

 

hit up ceres cafe near the chicago board and trade... closes by 8 and pours the most ridiculously strong drinks in the city

 

It's pretty small but a very cool place, can get very busy. Think we ended a night of drinking there once, it was a long night so memory is slightly spotty.
