    Boston is 3-2 against the Bulls
    Orlando is 3-2 against the 76ers

    Portland is better then both the Bulls and the Sixers while Boston and Orlando when asked by most analysts are better then the Rockets. Plus, the Rockets are down their highest paid player AND their back up center. Portland is completely healthy.

    We have Artest in his first year on the team and Brooks taking the starting PG role after midseason. Not to mention picking up Lowry at the trade deadline.

    Some of you fans need to realize that the Rockets are playing their hearts out given the situation.

    All I'm saying is that you should support your team win or lose. Oh, and for you rich lower bowl fans, SHOW UP to the games and CHEER for once in your life....

    Yeah, OP is definitely right. If you told me that we would lose TMAC, trade away Rafer, and have Landry shot in the leg, I wouldn't even have pegged us to go to the playoffs, much less get the 5th seed.

    We still got one more home game, at least. Make it count, Rockets.

    Don't sell Portland short - they are without their 3 highest paid players:

    Steve Francis $17,180,000
    Raef LaFrentz $12,722,500
    Darius Miles $9,000,000

    :D

    ITs not bad but the team does not have a good history (post Dream age) when it comes to playoff.

    They have become choke city.

    I still think they can win but its kind of scary knowing we only one those 2 games by 4 points combined.

    uhm, boston is without KG and leon powe.

    but the difference is those teams have home court in a game7, thats why the rockets are in a lot more trouble than those teams are. we HAVE to close it out in 6

    isn't so bad? 3-2 going home, with a $20 mils hole on roster. i'd say it's pretty good. very good situation actually.

    Up 2-0 on Dallas 2005 and lost

    Up 2-0 on Utah 2007 and lost

    Choke city indeed. The only reason we're still in this series is because of Scola's olympian play. He's been the difference-maker this year.

    Game 6 is a must win or it's over. I doubt we will win game 7 in the Rose Garden.

    The Rockets have limped into the playoffs almost every year and this year isn't any different. Its just that this year we are so used to being crippled that we take it in stride. Not to mention the outstanding coaching job RA has done with the tools he's been given as well as Morey picking up quality players for pennies on the dollar.

    Choke City? Hardly

    Its the same story every year. If we had Juwan, if we had Yao, if we had TMac. The Rox have to bring it home on Thursday, up 3-2 there are no excuses.

    It ain't bad at all. Most people have been expecting at least a 6/7 game series. My personal opinion was that it's wonderful to win at 5 but mostly at 6.

    Nobody expected a blowout except JVG. Since JVG said we could blow them out, he made a lot of believers here and anything less would cause a panic.

    But the facts are:
    - the Blazers have home court advantage to start with the series;
    - both teams have strong home records;
    - the Blazers are healthy;
    - the Rockets have a 20 million player nursing his knee;
    - it's more difficult to win with 2 young PGs.

    I give a lot of credits for Adelman to put the Rockets in a good position to win this series. Adelman is so patient to the young players and keeps believing in them when they make bad mistakes.

    So, let's win at 6!

    it isn't bad, but portland is a good team, and we are continually showing our inability to secure a lead and build on it. these have been problems throughout the season, now that portland is backed into a corner don't expect them to just run and hide, they will come fighting with everything they have, they're young, energetic, and hungry, we have to battle equally, we can't half ass our offense, be lazy on defense, or get ahead of ourselves in this series. don't celebrate a basket, don't celebrate a block, because until the buzzer blows with a rockets victory this series is not over

    I doubt if any of the rich, lower bowl fans are Clutch fans, or they WOULD be in their seats.
