Jerry: Why shouldn't we be able to do that once in a while if we want to?

    Elaine: I know.

Jerry: I mean, really, what is the big deal? We go in there. (Points to the bedroom) We're in there for a while. We come right back out here. It's not complicated.

Elaine: It's almost stupid if we didn't.

    Jerry: It's moronic.

    Elaine: Absurd!

Jerry: Of course, I guess, maybe, some little problems could arise.

Elaine: We, there are always a few.

Jerry: I mean, if anything happened, and we couldn't be friends the way we are now, that would be really bad.

    Elaine: Devastating.

Jerry: Because this is very good. (Points back and forth between them to indicate friendship)

Elaine: And that would be good. (Points to bedroom)

Jerry: That would be good too. The idea is combine the this and the that. But this cannot be disturbed.

Elaine: Yeah, we just wanna take this and add that.

Too easy, codell. We must strive to challege ourselves in the inclusion of Seinfeld dialog, else it becomes old and tired.

LOL...now, you know that is NOT true.

Well, I am, of course, single and this was something that used to bug the hell out of me. However, I like to keep to myself and I live in a small town, so finding a wife where I live is gonna be pretty much non-existent.

However, the key is to find things to get your mind off of it and do things that make YOU happy.

I wish that I was in a serious relationship sometimes, but then I think about the advantages of not being in one (definitely not having to spend money is the biggest) and it is not that bad. I know that I am NOT ready for kids.

So, congrats Drew on 3000 and also for realizing that being single is not the end of the world - it is actually not that bad, unless you convince yourself it is a bad thing.

Don't worry Manny. With your new hairstyle (or lack of), chicks from the entire state will be at your doorstep soon.

Nah, live in Tennessee. I just flew in to Houston for the Smeg thing.

Believe me, if I lived in Houston, I would have been doing things with y'all a long time ago!

I'm not the kind of person that can enjoy being single. I've seen too much mushy stuff on tv and get ultra depressed when I'm not latching on to someone or whoring myself from one relationship to another.

I think I started out thinking like RM95 and Antisonic. Then, after a few instances where things weren't quite what I hoped, I think I started leaning toward Drewdog's way of thinking.

    Now I'm somewhere in between.

Basically my thought is this: One day at a time, have fun while you can, whatever happens happens. Both have their positives, it's just a matter of making the most of whichever situation you are in.

    Guys, Guys GUYS!

The single life is great. I actually have a girl that I've been seeing on/off on my side for a year, but she lets me go out and do what I want.

You guys that HAVE to have relationships need to be careful. Much of that stems from a need of some kind of reassurance and such. The problem is that (as cheesy as this sounds) you can't love someone else until you know and love yourself. Only you can make yourself happy, its not someone else's job; and if thats the case you'll end up being miserable.

I've had a few FB's, but usually they end up wanting more. It always turns to drama!!

RM95, I still owe you a night out to meet up with some girls after I BLEW up at you in a political thread. So anytime you're in Houston just put it on the board early and I'll see it.

    Single Guys,

Have you gotten a chance to hit Red Door Yet? My God, there was so much great, very available a$$ there on Saturday. I went there with a date and a group of friends, but this weekend I will not make that same mistake. I don't remember a place having that great % of hotties since when the Social Club first opened up.

You don't owe me anything, but it'd be fun to hang out though. I'll be in town the weekend of the 27th...we're having an Astros get together at Lil Woodrows on Alabama on the 28th.

I guess I should make it clear that I don't feel like I HAVE to have a relationship. I've just found that I've been much happier and fulfilled when I've been in one. I don't do it for any self-confidence reasons. What really hurts about this breakup is not only did I lose the only girl I've ever wanted to marry and have kids with, I honestly felt single most of the time in that relationship. She had no problem with me going out with friends, me going to strip clubs, etc. It was like being single, but I was in a loving relationship at the same time. And I blew it.

Its a bar, opened up a month or two ago and its near Seven on West Gray.

    RM95,

That sucks man. I think maybe its that i've never actually dated someone that I considered 'the one', or that I could have actually seen myself with forever. Hey, maybe its the bigger they are the harder they fall and i'll fall flat on my face!!

Wish we could have been there..... :(

That Line Drew is no Joke.

We got there early (11 ish) for that reason.

A few weeks before that I had gotten there with a nice sized group around 12:30 and the line was out the parking lot and I don't really know anyone that runs the place.
I tried to slip the guy at the door a fifty AND HE WOULN'T EVEN take it!! He said 'We don't do that here'. Socialism at its best in the Night Club scene. So we ended up at Seven too.
