Rep. Adam Kinzinger, one of the Republicans who did vote for impeachment, said last week that "Leadership shouldn't just reflect the darkest fears of your constituents." I hope he and others like him are able to pull back the party from the abyss that it's fallen into. Given that only 11 Republican reps, including Kinzinger, voted to remove Greene from her committee assignments he's got a very tough road ahead of him. Also given that the IL Republican party has censured him it's more likely that he finds himself out of the GOP before Greene is..
Another censure. Cancel culture toward GOP members doing accountability is rampant in the GOP. Stick to our non-accountability message or else!
the family of the fallen capitol police officer and the others who were injured even the families of the rioters who died and got injured should sue this POS **** stain
So much for the GOP using the cancel culture argument against the Dems , Nebraska is doing the same thing........Friggin hypocrites
I can't get those words Trump said out of my mind. "We love you, you're very special." It was televised, and Trump watched it go down, along with his kids. They were smiling and enjoying the show. He saw what his followers were doing. They were screaming "Hang Mike Pence!" "We love you, you're very special." It's hard to believe he could utter those words after seeing a man in a white hat and backpack grabbing a police officer by the helmet, and dragging the officer down the stairs. Imagine saying that after seeing his so called "Patriots" kicking and punching the officer. What kind of sociopath could watch a man bashing a police officer repeatedly with a pole flying an American flag and utter those words? The symbolism is deeply disturbing. Vote no to impeachment and this is what you stand for. I don't care what excuses or twisted reasoning you make to paint the picture any other way.
The evidence against Trump is overwhelming. What's going to make this ironic is that Trump supporters kept on arguing that evidence of fraud wasn't heard by courts because of "standing" yet the primary argument in defense of Trump is a standing argument. That a former President can't be impeached.
The Democrats should have the widow of the officer and the family of the dead woman both testify at the impeachment. The senators supporting Trump can tell the widow it wasn’t Trump’s fault and then they can tell the dead ladies family that conspiracy theories aren’t a problem. Maybe Ted Cruz can lean in for a hug and see what happens.
I wonder how many local politicians trump paid to support his effort to overturn the election? Trump campaign paid Arizona state Rep. Mark Finchem $6,000 during effort to overturn election results https://www.azcentral.com/story/new...ampaign-during-election-challenge/4413949001/
Is this legal/illegal? When I read these types of stories it's shocking how cheap it is to influence politicians, foreign influence on a whole swath of issues has to be very real.
I could go for manslaughter of say two hundred thousand Americans, but that should be in criminal court.
