Someone should pass a bill making it legal to hit Ted Cruz in the face with a twisted tea

...hindsight is always 20/20, of course...

...but the county would have been better off if Donald Trump had never been put in office in the first place...;)

The "may" should have been substituted for "will".

They should have done this in October when Trump had Covid. Perfect opportunity.

I know that's what the language says but the context and the tone of the speech - she's seething. The tweet actually cuts off the key line - it's if 25th not invoked, "Congress may be prepared to impeach. That is the overwhelming sentiment of my caucus"

What happens if say all Cabinet member resigned except say two or three. Would that make 25 just need two or three signatures?

This is just a silly idea and waste of political capital and time. The democrats are already showing that they are mediocre at politics, putting ideology ahead of politics. Trump will be gone in a few days anyways. He has already done severe (and possibly irreparable damage to the system). If his actions is so bad, then let Pence and the GOP that enabled him carry the ball for his removal.

Democrats should instead focus on the messaging, making sure that the people that stormed the capitol are identified as republicans and not just Trump supporters. This should be hung around the GOP neck like a medal of honor.

Also they should start working on consolidating their control of senate by granting statehood to PR and DC, hopefully securing the senate for the next few decades.

Trump and his antics should be ignored. He has already cost the GOP the senate, letting him continue with his tantrums may cost them more. The GOP took a dump on our democracy, let them decide if they want to wipe their own ass or wear the stink of **** like a cologne.

They have. Pelosi/Schumer tried to call Pence and he hid under his desk. Democrats have been calling for the 25th to be used on Trump.

I tend to agree w you BUT at what point do you need to set aside pure political planning, (which is how we got so much GOP rule breaking and abetting), and enforce the rules? If clear attempts at sedition won’t be enforced, that’s a precedent.

the first impeachment was not politically savvy but it was the correct thing to do.

They simply shouldnt get involved. There is nothing substantial to be gained while risking political capital and helping the GOP to unify the ir supporters.

Good luck with that. Trump to spite Biden and everyone else could start a war with Iran, North Korea, China, France, etc. To say that this is not possible is to ignore the facts on the ground.

At the point at which the GOP in its current form no longer exists. We have had Trump for 4 yrs and no impeachment will fix that.

Instead the focus should be on making sure the GOP and any future 'Trump' dont get back in power.

Also impeaching him now, lets the enabling GOP off the hook. I wpuld rather history records that these embarassing moments wouldnt have happened with out the GOP enabling him.
