I refuse to believe that the Hornets will make it out of the Western Conference. Chris Paul is a b*tch to me but at least he keeps his composure and his team's composure under control (i.e. a true leader). But David West?? Yes, you're getting some questionable calls but why are you compounding that by making stupid fouls, getting a tech, and letting that rattle your game? You can't have your best offensive option get rattled like that and let your opponents see it unfolding.

Now correct me if I'm wrong...but Horry just took out David West...and the crowd is chanting "Horry". But they wouldn't do that...right?

Haha awesome pick by Horry on West. Horry once again showing his valuable intangibles and clutchness. I'm sick and tired of seeing D. West and his fake tough guy mean mug.

Season over for the Hornets if David West doesn't fully recover for game 7.

What in the world is wrong with Pargo? He's doing a great Luther Head playoff imitation except he continues to shoot the ball without a conscience. I saw him blitzkreig a bunch of teams during the regular season and thought he was a very good backup PG.

Did anyone think Horry's shot to West's back was dirty?

That is an old school move. Horry tried to set a pick for Manu, thinking Manu was going to go baseline. If the ball wasn't even over on that side of the court, then yes that was a cheap shot. But Manu was on the move, had the baseline if he wanted it, and Horry did was he was supposed to do--pick off any defender in the vicinity.

I dont think that's a dirty play from Horry. That's a legitimate pick. No elbows, no nothing.

man, Hornets don't know yet how to close out another team. that NO crowd better carry them to a victory monday night.

otherwise the lakers will have to take out the spurs in the WCF.

Yes it was dirty. This is why I don't respect the Spurs. They literally do whatever it takes to win, including trying to take out the opposing teams' stars. Whether it's Bowen kicking the guy he's guarding, Horry slamming Nash into the scorer's table(Amare and Diaw leaving the bench was nice little bonus), or nailing West in the back when you know he's injured there. They're thugs. It amazes me that people on this board hate on the Jazz but go easy on the Spurs when they're just as bad if not worse.

Horry definitely knew what he was doing when he set that pick. Legally it wasnt dirty but he put a little extra muscle on it.

He set a nice back pick. It's not Horry's fault that West had back spasms and trotted backwards into Horry. Horry saw an opportunity and took advantage of it . I don't like Bruce Bowen and he's a dirty player for sure but you can't categorize the rest of the Spurs with him. Besides I'm sick of seeing CP3 and David West has one of the worst attitudes ever. Makes it hard to cheer for him even though he has a nice game.

Just as I had predicted, Spurs take this game. Now comes the fun game 7.

I might be wrong but I believe this is the first time Duncan's Spurs have faced a Game 7 on the road?

If so, it will be interesting to see how they fare.

Oh by the way you can blame the loss on David West. The Hornets were down by like only 5 points in the 3rd quarter. It wasn't until West picked up the offensive foul and the technical foul for not being able to control his attitude did the Spurs really blow things open.

That's why they're not gonna make it out of the West this year. Paul is everything for them, but West is their primary scorer. If you can't keep your emotions in check, you can't go anywhere.

Rewatch the replay. Manu was moving towards the baseline and West slid over. Horry did what he was supposed to do when your teammate is looking to move towards the baseline--you pick off the defender sliding over. If West didn't have the back spasms, no one would make a big deal out of this. In fact, I don't think anyone outside of New Orleans and maybe Phoenix are going to cry about it. Mark Jackson and JVG said it was a good no call. Just because West was injured should Horry have let him slide over, possibly blocking off Manu's route? Bruce Bowen is a dirty player and that is definitely true but to say Horry is a dirty player because he sets an awesome pick points to how much this game has changed. Watch the 94 Finals again and see how that makes Horry's pick look like nothing.
