Is there anyone out there that still thinks we should have kept Bonzi? Both he and Mike James are washed up and worthless.
Does Peja have a post-up game? Cause if he did he could use his size and be more effective against Bowen.
Bonzi = doofus. It's hilarious when they keep effusing about his great series with the Kings, 'cause that's the last time anybody remembers him being a net positive on the court or off it.
Peja is a mental midget. Bowen owns him now just like Rick Fox used to get in his head back in the day. To answer the question: Peja does have a post-up game that he uses against shorter players but it isn't what he does best. At the moment, he is so skittish about Bowen that nothing will work.
I feel bad for the Hornets. They're trying so hard to give this game away, and the Spurs just won't take it.
I am wondering how much game has Duncan lost due to age. Would a prime Duncan have killed the Hornets? The current Duncan is struggling against single or double teams. Duncan has been very lucky in terms of his team. Manu, Parker, and team defense always seem to carry the team when Duncan does not show up.
i'm pretty sure tim duncan has gotten away with more over the backs than anybody in history. he's constantly doing what he just did to chandler. he doesn't even always get the rebound, but he damn sure is fouling, and they just don't call it.
Imagine how good the Hornets could be if Chandler didn't suck. It's just painful to watch them get no help from him inside.
A front court of Chandler and Davis West is quiet formidable. If you are looking for offense from Chandler, then he will come off looking like a sucky player. However, he does a lot of other things. He closes the lanes on defense, rebounds (pushes a lot too, I might add), and opens up lane for Chris Paul on that alley oop threat. He is athletic and big enough to play most bigs straight up. Interestingly enough, Yao gives him fits because of his size. David West carries almost all the scoring for the Hornets on the front line while Chandler does everything else. I would say, imagine how good the Hornets could be if they had a solid shooting guard or if Peja didnt choke/suck.
Another 3rd quarter whipping by the Hornets on the Spurs. It's a common theme this season. The Hornets have to take this same intensity on defense with them to San Antonio on Thursday to have a chance to win. On the Spurs side, 11 points in the 3rd quarter? They looked completely overmatched and out of sorts. This game isn't over yet but if the patterns follows, it will be shortly.
