You obviously haven't played Live 09. Especially, when they Live 365 kicks in when the season starts.
That's a good rotation but seriously i like this the best . Artest - PG Tmac - SG Battier - sf Scolar - PF Yao - Center LoL Joke...
I have Live also and 2K9 is still better even with those glitches. Regardless of the 365 feature, that isn't going to mean anything when the gameplay is still bad. Animations are jerky, the controls are stiff and the player faces are just ridiculous. There's no smoothness to the game. When I play 2k9, it flows like real basketball game. Another thing, presentation. Live fails at this department too. They finally implement a highlight reel and most the time it doesn't even work. Just still pictures of the "plays". And during these highlight reels, you can see lots of problems with the animations. Lots of hiccups and jerky movements. Doesn't look good at all. Let me remind you that they own the ESPN license and you couldn't even tell by playing this game.
Add me to the list of people who don't think 2K sucks. It is awesome! I just don't like how the online features are so slow to load.
I'm running 1- Tmac 2 Artest 3 Battier 4 Landry 5 Yao Used this lineup to destroy the Blazers 130 - 70 with 10 min quarters.
Honestly, I think both games are severely flawed this year. For all the hype both publishers have made for the games, neither is really that fun or realistic. For the 2k fans to dismiss all the glitches in that game is laughable. It is the funniest display of fan boyism I have seen in awhile. Live's issues seem to be the animations/control that really isn't that precise as it needs to be for a basketlball game. But then again 2k has had the same problem for years. I am really disappointed in next-gen b-ball games.
Do you have to be have gold membership (or whatever its called) to get the roster updates and patches for 2K9 on Xbox 360? Or is an internet connection all you need?
So whats the PS3 patch do? I haven't really had the time to go over the stuff at operationsports as I normally would. I know a few of you guys here are active there. Could you guys summarize whats going on?
Live used to be good...in fact I played it exclusively in 2004 on PC and enjoyed it quite a bit. If it were better than 2k9 this year, I'd have no problem admitting it and playing it. I hardly even play videogames, so it's not like I have brand loyalty. I just happen to think that Live's gameplay is significantly inferior to Live, and that's all that matters to me. For what it's worth, I haven't encountered a single glitch in 2k9. Your assumption that people who dislike Live are all uninformed fanboy sheep is off base to say the least.
Uh-huh. You go on believing that. In the 90s, Live was the s***. It used to be in "competition" with NBA Shootout, and Live kicked the crap out of Shootout every year, despite Shootout's graphics often looking better. Kinda like how Madden was always better than GameDay, even though GameDay made the jump to polygons over sprites earlier than Madden did. ...and then 2K came out for Dreamcast, and it's ruled the bball scene like Live did in the 90s ever since.
Count me in with the rest of the 2k9 supporters. Just got a trade offer from the Blazers for Ron Artest in my association. They offered Outlaw and Aldridge, I thought about accepting it.
