At first, I thought 2k9 was REALLY difficult to play. I haven't played a bb video game since 2k3 I think. I played the demo and the Celtics smoked me 15-6 or so for a few games. I picked up the demo again today and destroyed them after reading a few tips here. The demo is 4 minutes I think and I demolished them 30-8 or so. I really want to buy this game, but like most games I'll wait till the first price drop prior to purchase.
Is it me or does the CPU hit like 75% of their shots? Its okay, I never play an association without sliders from Operation Sports. But this is ridiculous. I have lots of good things to say too but Ill hold.
One of the main reasons i couldn't get around 2k8 was the blue button was the shooting button - and i'm so used to it being the red. In k9 can you swap that around? Because i was dumbfounded when i couldn't change the buttons to configure to my liking in k8
2K9 for PC has been confirmed for $20. It will not include online play, but online basketball was never really that great. It will be a direct port from Xbox 360. Some of his posts are funny. But the routine is getting old as the hills. It was never that good, yet he keeps pressing it. He might be unhappy, or maybe he has an alter-ego.
I don't know if it can be switched this year, but let me tell you... I was the same way leading up to last year. Then I finally said "okay, fine, to hell with it, I'll just get used to square being the shoot button." And you know what? It actually makes more sense. Simply because, as your thumb is normally positioned on the controller, you can be hovering over the shoot and pass buttons almost simultaneously.
The game is great the only problem I have with it is the framrate slowdown. I can't play the game in 1080p, 1080i, or 720p without horrible lag for about 10 seconds after inbounding the ball and passing it. The only HD setting that I can get to work is 480p and it does not look half as good as it did at the higher settings.
Never heard of that show. The only shows I watch on TV are South Park and Rockets games. Last nights episode was over the top.
Has anyone else had the glitch where after a basket anyone from either team can pick the ball up and continue playing without an inbounds play? Every time i load the game for the first time this happens.
360 version or PS3 version? I'm playing the PS3 version on 1080p, and I haven't noticed this problem.
I have the 360 version. I did some research today and found out the problem is the camera angle I like to use. I like the 2K camera angle because that is what I got used to when 2K first came out on the dreamcast. I might have to switch camera angles because the game looked unbelieveable in 1080p
Let me preface by saying I'm not that great on the game. I played a ful game for the first time last night...on the Pro level. To answer the OP, I'm happy that there are less alleys and pic-n-roll buckets because how often do you get to do that in real games? The same goes for yamming on everyone. As far as Kobe hitting in everyones eye no matter the defense...well, isn't that realistic too? In my first game I came down with T-Mac and drained a 3 in some guys grill.....just pulled up and shot over him. Again, that's very realistic. My issue is playing defense. I know I'm just garbage but does anyone have some tips? I am very excited about this because now you don't have to waste time trying to duplicate some dude already on the game, and you can use more of your CAP slots for players who aren't.

Not that I'm into adding old players to current teams, but in 2k9 you can pretty much make a Rockets dream team. You can add Olajuwon, Drexler, and Pippen to the Rockets roster. There might be more, I just skimmed through.
