Go back to KPJ 50pt game, what has happened to his 20ft free throw line jumper? (Yea I know he made 9 3s….)

Green midrange baseline jumper is money and he takes 1 a game

I feel like the Rockets offense is in the same repeated cycle and the bricking 3s after 3s is something that needs to be addressed for this team to take the next step.

apparently your eyes believe in an actual correlation, they need an appointment to be checked

the end numbers proved the correlation - if there was a 30% 3pt shooting thread it would of been bumped … but you still too butthurt over this game still (Refs be dammed) to see my point.

and that’s fine…like I said keep it moving Yolo

no it wouldn't because nobody else searched for this thread besides you after a game that had no correlation with 27 missed 3s in a row. Even a toddler could see that

notice how many bumps this thread has since then? there's been worse shooting nights yet you for whatever reason are the only person to search and bump it

12-44 / 7-41 … the correlation is continuing to jack up 3s vs attacking the midrange … Harden (KPJ / Green) attacks midrange … we win

last night felt to me personally the same … might not to you and that’s great.. if you don’t like it don’t click it … Be Well

When was a 20ft jumper ever an actual thing from him, and why would we even want him taking them? He has never shot even just 40% from 16 ft to the 3 point line for a season.

The Rockets don't even jack threes like they used to. We are 8th in attempts, 16th in percentage. We are dead last in 2 point FG%. This team needs more talent to take the next step. KPJ 20 footers and more midrange jumpers from Green isn't changing anything.

There was nothing special about what the Rockets shot from 3 last night or did on offense.

It’s the threat of attempting them for KPJ and he shot better from midrange (near free throw line) than the awful baseline / wing jumpers he used to take… his % would go up

Same with Green, he shoots the baseline jumper at a high % if not better than his fadeaway he takes in middle of paint

That would open the floor more for the guards and add another level to our offense even if they each just took 4 a game

Bigger teams just pack the paint vs Rockets because they know we either want to attack the rim or shoot the 3 (which we are horrible at)

we are not horrible from 3...we are ranked 16th...that is slightly below average

KPJr is simply not good from midrange...his best attribute is a catch and shoot three...that's what he should be doing more of, not just jacking up low percentage midrange just cause

We have Sengun at C who is not a floor spacer, and rookie Jabari who until a few games ago could hit nothing. Why wouldn't they pack the paint?

teams that shoot a lot of midrange are typically doing so with actual elite midrange shooters like Booker, CP3, Derozan, Embiid, KD, Kyrie, etc...they can create them with ease and hit them at a very high rate...they don't have guys like KPJr just jacking 4 of them a game

as for Jalen Green, I am fine with him taking 7-8 threes a game...he's already taking around 3 midrange shots a game
