The thread title is misleading. Of course homecourt in the final trump the 26th pick. But resting our starters and preventing injury trumps either of these by a lot. It's not as if either JVG or Jerry Sloan cares to show his hand in terms of playoff strategies anyway. I wouldn't even bother having Yao, T-Mac, or Battier make the plane trip to Utah.
im not so sure having home court in finals would mean that much unless it went to a game 7 (which it could) i like the idea of having 3 straight at home, especially if we could split the 1st two on the road.
