Funny you bring this up. Because on this day 26 years ago I was six years old and in the second grade.

Hakeem had a quadruple double on Clutch's birthday? That must have been one hell of a birthday.

Barkley and Jason Kidd never get credit for their 10-turnover quadruple doubles.

I was 16. I remember it was around this time that my friends and I started to wake up to the idea that the rest of the country had no idea just how amazing Olajuwon was. This was before ESPN permeated everything...but the narratives were entirely around other players in the league.

He had another one that was taken away I think but it was clear he had it.

Yeah that's what I stated earlier in the thread. The first one was two or three weeks prior to the official one. The league gave it to him, then saw one of his assists were credited incorrectly, so they took it away. Then everybody re-watched the game in the locker room and found another assist that wasn't counted, but the league was too stubborn to give it back to him.

Spurs always 1 up us. They have 2 different players get a quadruple double(Alvin Robertson, David Robinson). The Rockets nearly had a 2nd player when Clyde Drexlerwas robbed of his QD.

I think Robinson was the last one to do it in 1994. Its been 22 years since the last quad double. Hard to believe that honestly considering all the talent that has flowed through the NBA since.

Oh and Hakeem will always have two, the NBA reviewed it, and chose to remove and assist, only to have missed another that same game.
