i know McNair said that...but i think if it were available, there would have been a lot of fan pressure to return to those colors and logo...perhaps with an update of some sort.
Sort of like the fan pressure put on at that Save the Oilers rally, I would imagine ... how many showed up to that again? 6? Or was it 7? Can't remember.
there was NO organization, freak. no one even knew about it. they sent out a press release to ESPN...but never let the people of Houston know about it.
That rally was horribly promoted. A friend and I were at Tech when it was going on, and we saw a blurb in Lubbock about the low turnout. I called my friends in Houston to find out why they didn't go, and they said "we couldn't find out when it was!"
it's amazing they knew anything about it beforehand, period. there was no publicity for it, as far as i know. at what point in the process did that event take place?? before or after bud signed the exclusive negotiating agreement with nashville?
I hated to see the Oilers leave, but had enough of Bud. I didn't want anything to remind me of him. The Texans namesuited me fine. Not very original, but fine. The logo is cool and Reliant rocks on game day.
I don' know, the game day experience during the Luv Ya Blue era was pretty amazing. Other then those years though the Oilers were like some sort of cheap Fox soap opera.
give a rip...honestly...where are you from? I think you've spent WAY too much time in Arkansas. Calling for an intervention, Ref
I was 6 at that time and that season was the first in which I remember who was playing in the Super Bowl. I cried like a baby when the Steelers beat the Rams, not that I was a Rams fan, but just that I hated the Steelers so much (it was all about the underdog).
