25 year old man murdered in Georgia for jogging while black

Hey @Trader_Jorge....Is 2 miles from one's house an acceptable distance or should he have stayed a block or two away?

Arbery was killed in February about 2 miles from his home in a neighborhood outside Brunswick, Georgia.

If you attack a person who has a gun... that trigger will get pulled. Not saying the men should have pulled the gun in the first place or gotten involved but no **** you're getting shot.

 

They said he looked like a person who was caught on camera. Just saying that this is their story. I have no way of knowing all the facts and neither do yall.

 

Hey, I wouldn't go for a gun if criminals pointed it at me. I'd offer my wallet and plea. Fighting head on with a shotgun? Unarmed? Stupid as hell. More likely these men though he was a criminal cause they are racists but good luck proving it. They claim it was because of camera footage of criminal activity in the area. I imagine these dudes didn't expect the guy to go all out with his fists and try to grab the gun. It's sad either way and it's sad people want to have a trial before the facts are in. Either way, these men acted irresponsibly and should have called the police if they thought something was amiss. The guy who got shot should have screamed for help and ran before trying to take on a shot gun. I can't wait to hear what any witnesses say, if any. It seems the guy tailing them had his camera out so her must have seen it.

 

Who is they? And why do you insist he wasn't wearing normal jogging clothes?

 

so defending yourself from persons who came after you with guns will always mean you attacked them and not just defended yourself??

 

Even if he was guilty of burglary, is that punishable by death in Georgia?

The guy with the camera WAS WITH the other two guys. They have yet to decide how or if to charge him.

Still waiting for your explanation how shorts, a t-shirt and tennis shoes are not jogging clothes. We have no idea how any of us would have reacted if we were in the same situation. Hopefully none of us will ever be in it. I am pretty sure I won't because I am white.

Also, let's trust the two killers as to whether or not the guy was on camera. We do know that they all look alike.

 

when they called Arbery’s mother, they told her he had been involved in a robbery, and got shot and killed

the 1st prosecutor said this bullsh*t

"We do not see grounds for an arrest of any of the three parties."

It goes on to say Travis McMichael, his father Greg McMichael and the man who he says shot the video, Bryan Williams, were following in "hot pursuit of a burglary suspect, with solid first hand probable cause."

so let’s see...Arbery was out robbing homes in broad daylight with no mask, no burglary tools, no weapons, and no vehicle...foh

How many people have had to recuse themselves from this case? 2? And they wonder why black people never believe there will be a fair trial in cases like this...

people need to understand that it’s called a fight or flight response...some people will flee and try to get away, while others will fight their attacker

Also, they have trucks and guns while he’s on foot, so where is he fleeing to? 1 of the trucks was already blocking 1 side of the road in front of him with the driver side door open and 1 of the guys outside that vehicle with a gun already in hand while another truck is following him from behind. He’s cornered.

Even if he was a criminal, why not call the police and let them handle a jogging while black situation? Who hops in trucks with guns and goes after the guy? What, u thought he would just confess and you’d haul him into the precinct so he could get charged with jogging while black in the 2nd degree?

 

Yup didn't take the precautionary measures. Didn't even wear a reflective belt. Just asking to be chased down by a truck full of armed yokels. How can we blame the yokels?

 

They were just hard working god loving good ole boys protecting the neighborhood
