Texas is THE BEST offensive team A&M has played all year and it is pretty much 100% Durant. He is making everyone else on his team so much better. If the Longhorns learn to play D, they are going to be tough come March.

It also helps when Durant gets the foul call every time he is touched.

The game is starting turn into the game like i expected it to be. I was surprised how close this one was early on.

All I'm thinking now is please don't rush the court. We don't have the most savvvy college basketball crowd yet for obvious reasons.

Game was WAY closer than the score, but the Aggies have owned the last 5 minutes all year long. It will be real interesting to see how good this Texas team can get since that is likely all they will have with Durant.

They didn't rush the court. ;)

So all in all....another W, and the Aggies keep on rolling through a very good week. That Kansas game was awesome.

texas cannot close out basketball games which was seen here and against kansas state this past weekend. this is what is keeping us a young team and separating us from the contenders.

How do you close a game out that you were losing the majority of the time?

Well UT went up by 1 w/ something like 9 minutes and then ended up losing by 18. We seem to have trouble ending games is what I think he's trying to say. Like most freshman, they try to force the issue too much when it's in crunch time. You can see that we kind of lose our composure at the end of games.

Aggies were completely taken out of their comfort zone and managed a win. They are legit.

Durant is legit, the NBA rule not allowing HS kids in isnt fair. I would pay to see him at the next level.

Texas is NOT legit. Not this year. They dont have what it takes to go far. Maybe if they had better coaching or at least 1 of the big 3 from last year stayed. Too bad Durant is 1 and done.

    Gig em...

Had to throw that in there didn't ya?

It has more to do w/ the fact that we're starting 4 freshman rather than poor coaching.

Ya of course its the freshmen. Still some poor coaching though. Not even tonight in particular. Just in general. Ill rub it in though! I like UT bball too. But its our year.

Texas A&M is a real Top-5 team no doubt. Beating Kansas on the road and beating a very talented (if not young) Texas team is proof enough. I just hope Texas A&M can keep a coaching talent like Gillispie but you've gotta wonder about other big time programs taking notes on him.

you don't have to be winning the majority of the game in order to close it out. we had plenty of chances to take the lead and we just couldn't capitalize. i guess what i'm trying to say is that we just play terrible late in the game.

Well I wouldn't be shocked if he left, but I really don't think that is going to happen. He is a Texas guy and A&M can provide the money, facilities, fans, and whatever else he wants. The only thing we can't give him is a storied basketball history. If he stays at A&M, he's got a good shot to be the guy that we name our arena after and build a statue of. If he goes to KY (which is the school that apparently wants him), he has no shot of that.

Last year he was contacted for an interview with Indiana and turned it down so that tells me a lot right there, but maybe he has an affinity for some other dream job? Who knows. His buddy Bill Self is having fans call for his head every game ... why would you want to go to another school with those expectations for the same money?
