i think it's pretty obvious (or at least they want you to think that way) that it's the advisor. he gave him the bogus sec report and told the husband that the president had no idea he was giving that to him.
Looks like the producers liked Chloe and tried to duplicate the formula - cast a quirky, female comedian for the awkward IT geek. Next, Trudy Weigel from Reno 911 will make an appearance as a network admin for the bad guys.
another annoying nitpick, but the ag sending a guy over that quick? during an international and domestic crisis? during the lunch hour? yeah producers of 24, we get it. you think torture works and it's just silly pussified bureaucrats who don't understand it. maybe you expect that most of your audience is too dense to get it, but maybe try and be a little subtle?
I love 24 in all but I really wish the show ended in season 4 especially since it brought closure to everything for the characters or even season 5 would had been ok with a different ending.
I love Jack, so I love torture. Eat it you hippies! Also Jack and Tony working buddy-cop movie, this is the way 24 should be.
This show still sucks. Tony has not saved it. The story line with the presidents husband is laughable.
I like it as much as ever (then again, I'm one of the ones who still enjoyed S6, even though it wasn't up to the lofty standards of the first five years). I'm not sure what's wrong with the president's husband's storyline... thought the scene with Samantha getting stabbed was one of the most chilling on this show in a while. The end was a little cliched, but it's network television so I know to expect it, especially early in the season.
Chilling? Hardly. His stupid looks had me literally LOL'ing. I can't talk because I've been shot up with some sort of paralyzing agent so I'm going to make r****d faces until the b**** gets shanked. Unintentional comedy.
Yeah, I thought that scene was kinda stupid. Alright episode I guess. I still watch the show, but not nearly as hyped up as I was back during season 2 or the first half of season 4.
i'm with you on the scene.. seemed fine and like they took it a little further than they have in a while pretty good episode in general. solid season so far
Just saw this week's episode. I think the pacing so far has been great. Such a relief from last season. I even dig the subplot believe it or not and was pulling really hard for the First Gentleman to kill that agent. I wish the hottie would still be alive though.
Last season didn't go downhill until episode 6 or 7. I'm still reserving judgment until the midseason plot switcheroo.
The most annoying character in the show has to be President Taylor. What kind of person would risk thousands of American lives to try and stop an African Genocide. It's almost like she is the Songalan president.
Well, I'm surprised they haven't pulled out the now cliched "we don't negotiate with terrorists" line.
yeah but he didnt know anything about the president's husband plot, and i think thats going to be linked to the sengala story soon, meaning that the mole in the cabinet should be aware of the attempt to kill the prsidents husband, right?
So far, its been better than the past couple seasons. It would be nice for a change to work on the story line. 24 has always stuck with the hot topics at the time of production. For example, torturing terrorist is a bad thing now, so the show focuses on the government going by the book. But then the writers go over board with silly ideas like an "accidental suicide" of the first husband, planes crashing into each other, and a simple "plug and play" interface that hacks every system in the nation that can be stopped (c'mon, this has only been done 100 times already). Hundreds and thousands of lives do not have to be at stake to make the show interesting. Use a little creativity.
Last nights episode had a good chunk of action. Next week looks pretty crazy, too. I like where this season is going thus far.
Something about Tony just isn't right. I don't see him turning on Jack, i just can't figure out what. I'm somewhat mixed on the new season. Overall i like it, but i'm not sold on President Taylor. Too bad they killed off Palmer and brought Logan down on treason charges. I think both would be much better this season. I could do without the FBI. It's a glorified CTU with a terrible leader. Jack, Tony and Bill in the field is one of the better ideas. Even the b plot with the presidents husband is better than subplots in previous seasons.
