Just a little nitpick, but why are you guys posting things in spoiler tags after the episode has already aired on television? You'd have to be a complete idiot to venture into a thread about a show if you don't want to see discussion on the most recently aired episode — otherwise what's the point of the thread? What's interesting is that I was actually fooled by the guy working with the president's husband. 24's main predictability has been in that it sets up an obvious candidate for a mole, before jerking the curtain and revealing it to be someone else at the last minute. Of course there's still the intrigue of the FBI contact... no obvious candidates there, yet.
If I heard correctly, it was a silent clock with breaths. So if anyone has it DVR'd, check it for me!
Jack putting that plastic bag would probably start suffocating her after awhile. I am sure the dirt doesn't help either. My guess they turn on them within the first five minutes of the next episode then interrogate.
i was most intrigued by the silent clock, i thought she was gonna live, so we will see. also i was surprised about how obvious they made the secret service agent be a bad guy- usually they lead you one way and then blindside you... any guesses on the mole in the agency? and the cabinet? the obvious choices would be sean and the secretary of state
I'd say it's been pretty predictable as well so far. Garafalo is awful. Shame, since I used to be a fan of hers. She has aged horribly. And she is mimicing chloe's character way too much, and badly. In fact, the whole FBI cast seems like a bunch of CTU knockoffs, but Garafalo is the worst in this respect. The head of that FBI agency keeps giving annoying faces, dramatically overeacting to every line fed to him. Not really sold on the president, but she hasn't been bad either. Even though that's full of rant, I have enjoyed the show so far and think it has a promising set up for the rest of the season. Still one of the better shows on tv.
I agree with your whole 'rant' pretty much word for word. I used to think CTU was cheesy, but this new FBI is much worse. But like you, those are my only complaints. 24 doesn't work unless you relax and suspend your disbelief for an hour a week. I'm really enjoying this season. What's up with Sean? Either he is the mole, or they are setting him up for us to think he is while prepping to drop another bomb on us. We have no idea, and that's one of the things I love about this show. I didn't catch the silent clock at the end. I wouldn't have even thought about it unless I came in here and read about it.
Anyone else think it's pretty funny that the DOJ (or whatever agency) is so adamant about trying to investigate and prosecute the red head FBI agent less than an hour after the incident occurred. Especially considering that the agent is missing, possibly dead, and there's a major terrorist threat happening?
Click only if you want to know if FBI lady survives... Spoiler She does, at least according to IMDB. On there, you can see how many episodes each cast member is in and she's listed beyond 3 episodes (I'll leave the actual amount to avoid another spoiler - you can look it up if you want). So unless they go LOST on us and bring her back as a ghost (or IMDB is wrong), she lives. The other way to know is that they never make an effort to keep people alive unless they are going to live. If she was going to die, they would have just killed her - they wouldn't have spent 10 minutes of the show on shooting / burying her.
Maybe it has something to do with moles and the corruption of government. Some high ranking official knows she's getting close so if she survives, they still have a way to silence her by having immediate disciplinary action and removing her from the case. My guess.
Is Sean doing Erica? I couldn't hear their discussion before the dude I mean Agent Gold interrupted. Spoiler It's disappointing to hear Agent Walker didn't die. I thought innocent people had to be sacrified. It's amazing she won't suffocate under the plastic sheet and dirt.
I think there was a silent clock at the end of season 2 when the girl tried to assassinate Palmer with that virus.
With Palmers Heartbeat. I remember that. Well, it was loose dirt, so maybe she can climb out after they leave?
That was my thought too. And in the FBI, I'll go with the girl that Sean is seemingly sleeping with..the blonde chick. Unless they go complete misdirection and make it Garafalo..
