Yeah I think the peak of this season has already been reached unfortunately. I'll still be watching though.

(asked every year, coincidentally, since the show gained mainstream popularity)

Finally watched last night. I can’t believe next week is already the finale. It better be good, because so far, I would have to call this season a disappointment and that’s the first time I've ever said that about a season. And seen ‘em all.

The whole President reunites with long lost daughter, then a few hours later makes her Chief of Staff is just embarrassingly bad writing. I mean, WTF?? Where are they going with all this? They only have another two hours to wrap it up and I still don’t know (or CARE..) what’s going on. The season would’ve been better without this asinine subplot.

Jack being “sick” has really put a damper on the whole season. We watch to see Jack KICKING ASS, not to see him working from the office and wincing in pain every 10 minutes.

I can’t BELIEVE how anti-climatic Jack and Tony’s face-off was. Shouldn’t there have been a 30-minute hand-to-hand duel between them?? That would have been bad ass. Instead, Jack just runs him off the road, then Tony get arrested. End of face-off. I got excited when Jack told those guards to just walk away, but alas…all he did was hit him a few times and that was it. I wanted Tony to explain why he did what he did to Jack. MAYBE the finale will make up for that, but I doubt it.

The only saving grace this season has been Agent Walter’s GIGANTIC BREASTS.

EDIT: Can't believe I forgot to mention Janeane Garofalo's idiotic character. Can someone please tell me what the purpose of that character is??

I think last season was a lot worse. This season has some annoying gaps in logic (why doesn't Jack mute his cellphone and tell everyone his daughter is kidnapped?), but it's been pretty good at keeping up the suspense, imo.

I hope the Jack/Tony faceoff will be in the finale. It's time to kill him...

I can't believe it's the season finale already! There seems to be more to this story....or I think they might be continuing this when (click on spoiler)

the show moves to NY. I think they will find some antidote for Jack cuz he'll be in NY with Agent Walker on the next terrorist takeover.

    Lucky b*stard.... :D

Who thinks that? It's just gotten a bit boring. Nowhere near the crapfest that was Day 6.

    Tonight's show:

I think Tony Alameda is on the good side but playing the larger picture. They just gave it up during his converation with the b**** in control. Or, they just threw us the old curveball.

Poor Tony just can't catch a break. First he tries to kill Henderson for the murder of Michelle and he's stopped. Next he tries to kill Wilson for the murder of Michelle and he's stopped again. The guy just can't catch a break. I was glad to see he survives, hopefully to make yet another appearance down the road.

Overall it was a dramatic episode that was somewhat slow. No one thought Jack would die so that whole plot ran this season's momentum into the ground. With that said it was a huge improvement from Season 6. I'm looking forward to picking up the blue ray tomorrow and seeing how great it really looks.

The AG's investigation into the Hodges murder must be the quickest ever. They work in the middle of the night taking testimony. The Olivia thing was so useless. They should've ended the day after Tony stopped the missile launch.
