This week's episode is what 24 is all about. It had it all. A number of twists, Jack going commando and killing everything a site, the bad guy getting his, and an unforseen cliffhanger. That's great TV right there. If you don't like that episode, then stop watching the show. I dunno how they're gonna make 7 episodes out of the new storyline, but I know it'll be good.
i just watched the last 2 episodes on my dvr and holy freakin' crap! getting to see jack taking out everybody at the end was exactly why i started watching this season (and why i watch the a&e repeats every day). it was even better b/c it was unexpected. i was thinking how great it would be if he just took everyone out but then i thought a) he'll need to wait for backup b/c there's just too many guys and b) we've got too many episodes to go to resolve it now. the lesson: jack bauer doesn't need backup. just a great episode. now, we apparently have jack bauer on a personal mission, which is basically jack on steroids in terms of what he might pull. can't wait.
i just caught up on 6 episodes today. back to on-pace! i can't believe people are complaining so much. There is some predictability...but try watching it 3 or 4 episodes at a time after a few weeks. Without all the time to think about stuff in between, you won't be looking for holes, and you'll enjoy it much more I think! (at least give that method a whirl once if you're one of those who doesn't like this season as much)
not only was the chain around the neck hanging the same way as Die Hard, but i think the main guy (john or jack) had already killed both guy's brothers earlier as well.
Great ep last night, IMO...Jack going rouge to save audrey, f'n Palmer being a badazz before going down on national tv and Jack agreeing to blow himself up so the Chinese don't get the chip, classic... I still can't believe audrey is alive, but that's what makes it a great show...Morris turning in Chloe was a little odd, seeing how that has never happened before, so there has to be more to the story...Still need more Nadia... Jack smelling out Ricky before kicking him out of the truck was classic Jack..."I've already killed one agent today and he was a friend", or something like that was sweet...Next week looks great and I can't wait...
I still don't understand how the Chinese knew immediately that the nukes had been secured and then managed to get a call into what's his name.
I think 24 is seriously slipping. I'm surprised it still gets as much love as it does. It's getting painful to watch but it is really difficult for me to give up on it since I've been a fan from season 1.
I don't get how we're concerned about damaging relations with Russia when it was them who helped Fayed with the nukes in the first place. Plus, it's kinda absurd how they made that circuit board seem like Terminator's hand.
It was an ex-Soviet general and a consulate, not the entire country. What I don't understand is why didn't Tom threaten to release the tape when Daniels rescinded Palmer's authorization for Jack's mission to save Audrey. And like they wouldn't do anything they could to try and save a kidnapped daughter of an ex Sec. of Defense whose death had been faked.
I think he accepts that Daniels is the acting President. How long can you go around blackmailing the man in charge without repercusions? And I hate to say it, but if I were in Daniels' shoes, I would have canceled the mission too. Of course, if I were Jack, I wouldn't have taken the real chip either. There were two others right next to it that look exactly the same! Unless they verify it, which if you were willing to blow yourself up you wouldn't let it get that far anyway, then they're not going to know it's not the right chip. Why even bother bringing the real one if you don't plan on giving it to them anyway?
