On the contrary, the acting is awesome but the story is becoming like a chop suey, kare-kare, halu-halo.... septic tank.
Man, this show is starting to fall off for me. Papa jack b****ed up, that woman (the mom) could NOT act at all, and I really don't give a sh*t about Morris's little "crisis." I mean, hell, his sorry ass basically MADE NUCLEAR BOMBS for TERRORISTS. I'm supposed feel concerned because 'gasp' he may turn to drinking? F*ck Morris. I hope he somehow gets his ass beat some more. Now that sh*t would be entertaining.

Last night's episode was ok...Nothing spectacular, but Jack confessing to his dad was pretty good...Morris being an alcoholic, Jack wanting to bang his brother's wife, etc was ok...Then... F'n Logan...crazy...
That's certainly interesting. I almost never notice the acting - I'm usually more drawn into the storylines - but the first thing I told everyone after the episode last night was that I was a huge fan of whoever the actress is playing Marilyn Bauer. I thought she was spectacular. As for Morris' "crisis", how is it any different from the random trouble with cougars or hostage situations that Kim finds herself in? Or Chase and his baby? Or Palmer and Alan Miliken? I guess that's what I can't understand about any of this criticism... each and every one of those situations was present in earlier seasons, and it was equally as contrived then. This show, to me, is amazing and I'm liking this season more than any of the previous ones. To me, if you missed it, check out the episode on myspace... you missed a great one.
Will someone PLEASE tell me what happened in the last 5 minutes? I'm at college and the Fox affiliate messed up. It was unbelievable. I was pissed. Jack had just finished his speech, and then it cut to jack running out on the roof, then it cut to him picking up the phone, and then Logan. So how in the world did Jack get out of getting killed????? And did he just find that phone randomly???
Why did Jack's Dad pull a Houdini? He had him. I was expecting Mrs. Graham Bauer to put a bullet in him at the last second. I guess Jack's Dad has another plan up his sleeve and killing the head guy at CTU is not going to get him a "get out of jail free" card...as if he can worm his way out of that mess he's in anyway.
Did I say I liked any of that dumbass sh*t either? Look, I like 24, but this season so far is lacking any real intrige or unpreictability for me (that may be because I'm a writer and this tends to happen to all TV shows for us). You may like it, and that's great, but I'm hoping it picks up a little more. F*ck Morris.
Maybe Jack's Dad really doesn't want the nukes going off and he thinks the best chance of stopping them is Jack, and he has some way of escaping the impending trouble he's going to be in. I wonder how the heck Logan can help anything? And Gredenko just happened to get out of that house in the 10 mins b/w the scene he was in and when CTU showed up?
He probably kidnapped the mom and son to use as future leverage against jack. Since Jack is connected to CTU, the dad can use him to cut loose ends and leave safely.
No, but it seems like there's more complaining this year about those things than in previous years, so that's why I mentioned the irrelevant things from previous seasons. Maybe I'm forgetting some things, though.
I think the early hook this season matches the hook of past mid-seasons. Now people are expecting more nukes, Palmer's assassination and an all out war with China and the Middle East in the next episode. Complaining about it and posting on the web goes hand in hand for some people. But they still watch every week so it's not that bad...
And for the people who date you. But everything on t.v. is predictable nowdays (although I'll never forgive you for ruining that episode of Grey's Anatomy) and I think you're right. The whole season is kind of lacking in suspense because it comeing increasingly easy to guess what happens next on 24. Maybe you should start writing t.v. shows and such. Then I won't be able to guess what happens next.
maybe things are more predictable cause you're dating someone who says that kinda stuff while you're watching it. Just a thought. Not saying it's a bad thing.. just saying people are often influenced by what others around them are saying while they're taking something in. I don't think this season is any more predictable than the last 2 seasons. I'm enjoying this season as much as last season. I don't think it's better thus far... and I'm kinda mad that they put Jack in a situation. Just cause we know he'll always survive--with others, there's always a question if they might die. But yeah, overall, I'm enjoying it
