16 point lead now. Spread was 17. I'm going to find Mannisto and punch him in the face if he ends up being the difference here.
Well now is time to finish them off and rest some guys in the 4th. This game is an example of why not to play your home games in a dome, that place is dead.
Still remember the game...got the fumble at the end of regulation and bam it wasn't even close. Then the crying junk didn't help but at least it started the Al DelGreco era...
Very nice...td and 2 point conversion. Tulsa and Southern Miss stands in the way from a 1 loss season.
That game was a big deal. It was #1 vs #2 going at each other. Howfield was in local sports talk for weeks. I've seen a Sam Wyche/Jerry Glanville and Ian Howfield reference in the same day. I thinks its gonna be a while longer before the Texans are as relevant in our long term memory... UH will now be tied for 2nd in the conference with UTEP... Geeez... as much as that loss killed things, what still is a compliment to the UH rogram is the talk of how Kevin Sumlin can leave. Or the Case Keenum for Heisman talk. If all was really lost in the program, no one would even care about that.
I remember some of the completely heartless jokes that went around after he lost the Redskins game. "Did you hear about Ian Howfield's suicide attempt? He tried to hang himself, but couldn't kick the chair out from under him." I must admit: I LOL'd.
Hahaha. Thats funny. I remember that missed kick vs. the Skins. I was prob. 8 or 10 and my brother had a soccer game at Bear Creek Park. I sat in the car and listened to the Oilers game instead
Check out this link, about that game. http://curlyr.blogspot.com/2007/07/redskins-greatest-games-november-3-1991.html
