That team won 55 games, and they were on pace to win 53 when Yao got hurt.

If we continue at our current win percentage, we will win 53 games this year.

I somewhat disagree. I think McGrady was a better all around player in 07-08 than Harden is now. But that's not a fair comparison because McGrady had been in the league much longer and was clearly more mature in his playmaking.

edit: I was tempted to add "Before tinman jumps in to bash TMac" .... oh well

and they achieved that thanks to the guts and heart of the team that contributed to a 22 game winning streak

your formula says nothing about the heart of this team though.

this team has Dwight, Harden, Parsons, Lin, and Beverley.

they play with fire, but I want to see more heart.

    insert T Jones

Current team seem like princesses when things get tough. Disinterested and getting bodied around. Need that intensity and hunger every single night. Everyone needs to be a little crazy. Bev and TJones have it. The rest need to that mindset more.

A very tough all around team and a great head coach

Two things this team doesn't have

I'm sure you're probably right - but hopefully Morey finds us a veteran presence at the trade deadline because i think it would really help this team down the line. Don't know who that could be....

^ it's funny cause alot of those guys on that 22 game win streak team who are older now would probably fit in that role. Battier, Scola, Landry, Hayes

Neither Yao or Tmac played in all 22 games. This show cases how great the other talent was and how great the coaching was .

Landry and Scola? both played with heart.

Seriously stop it now clown. They didn't play better without Yao.
They had momentum from first 12 wins because of Yao and the offensive structure was set, Dikembe Mutombo and Chuck Hayes fill in great for Yao.
But Yao was sorely missed during playoff, we losing to Utah.
