22 game win streak vs 2nd round?

LOL - I liked the streak, but it is REGULAR season.

I want a championship.

The better question would be Streak vs. Championship....

I have seen 3 streaks over 15 games by the Rockets.....and only 2 rings...

I want the rings.

The second round is oh so sweet, but I'll take the 22 game winning streak. Hopefully we'll have many, many more trips to the second round, but only 1 other team can boast they won 22 in a row. 8 teams a year can say they made the conference semis.

Now, I'll take a championship over the streak any day of the week.

Well, 22 game win streak is and was a phenomenal accomplishment considering the squad we had at the time regardless the schedule. The end 4-5 games during that streak were surely bringing us all the excitement but at the end I looked at it, it helped us got the home court in the playoff but we lost again in the 1st round.

However the implication getting into the 2nd round this year is far more satisfying. As a Rockets fan, I would certainly take THIS year's 2nd round over last year's 22 win streak. I understand those people taking the 22 win streak; it is an amazing accomplishment and is in the record book. If the poll is for the degree of difficulty, 22 no doubt. But I'd take the 2nd round this year. Rox in 6 next!

 

8 teams make the 2nd round per year. 2 teams have won 22 games in a row. After we lost in the 1st round Alston, Batter, and McGrady joined Yao and went under the knife. Thats 80% of your starting lineup playing through injury. To boot Alston missed time in the playoffs.

I voted for the 22 game win streak. Getting to the second round is great but people here are appear to be comparing 22 game win streak versus that of a ring... obviously, we all want the rings but getting to the 2nd round by no means equates to a ring - it just brings us one step closer.

Unless our current squad can go on to win the championship, 2nd round is great but not nearly as significant as the 22 game win streak.
