I could see Rockets going 8-0 in the next 8 games till the last 4 games of March with Spurs, Pacers, Grizzlies, and Clippers. With Parker probably still out for that Spurs game and Pacers and Clippers playing at Toyota Center...it looks like a very good month for Rockets....if the team is looking to take advantage of the sweet schedule. Or you could see a meltdown in the next 3 road games and the Rockets slide to 9th spot....
had we taken care of sactown, washington, the portland batums and meelwaukay, 50 would be a reality! it would have been like in 2009 when okc went from jokers to a 50 win team in one season.
If the Rockets play like they did in the 3rd quarter against the Mavs, then yes they can get to 50 wins.
Best case scenario is probably 19-2 to close and finish 52-30. Worst case scenario (barring injuries) is probably 11-10 and finish 44-38. If they play to their potential every night, there's a decent (20-35%) of getting to 50 wins.
No chance. They do have more home games than road games the rest of the way, but there's no way they go 17-4 to finish the season. I'd be thrilled with 47 wins.
45 - yes. 50 - no. defense is still suspect. and it took parsons going larry bird and dirk scoring 8 points for us to win. granted, it was a blowout but with parsons shooter his average and dirk also shooting his average, would've been a much, much closer game. dallas will probably take the next one. we'll go as far as our defense will take us.
I don't know about 50 wins but I do know at the end of this month the Rockets will have a lock on the 6th seed and we will be starting threads on rather are not the Rockets can catch Denver or Memphis down the stretch.
Can you guys stop rewriting history just so you can hate on McHale? During the losing streak: "We had a good stretch where the ball really moved and now it's been eight or nine games where the ball has been getting sticky,” said a clearly frustrated head coach Kevin McHale after the game. “We are having a hard time scoring. Our spacing is poor. We have to reinforce who we are. We have to protect the paint better" Does that sound like he was advocating anything other than ball movement like he has been all season?
Utah is a terrible road team, even worse than us. They play 8 of their next 11 on the road, mostly against decent or very good teams. A slide is coming for them, lucky to go 4-7. As for us, no to the 50. I'm more concerned with getting to the 6th seed and hoping we somehow get the grizzlies.
A dog fight. 3 spots with 4 teams. Really hope LA would not make it but Jazz is very likely to miss it.
