There was one running play earlier where IU OG Pat Coogan absolutely destroyed Amauri Washington one-on-one. Also, no idea if he's a pro prospect, but IU's DL Mikhail Kamara is a player. So is their DB Ponds.
Durant disappointed this season but that guy is a hell of an athlete. I agree he's more the mold of Demeco's DTs than the guys I personally like (Kayden McDonald and Amauri Washington)
The Oregon OL/DL was supposed to be all top3 round talent (literally all of them). Both lines got destroyed by Indiana.
The IU OL vs the Miami DL should be interesting. I think we grab a DT with our first pick and then a guard and a center with our two, second round picks.
Mendoza looks like the real deal. I think Moore is going to be good, but he could benefit from another year imo or at least sit behind a year
Exactly what I was thinking throughout the game. Mendoza was already my 1st QB but he separated himself by a wide margin last night. There a stat going around about games played in college and Dante Moore hasn’t reached that mark. He’d be incredible if he stayed one more year but hate to tell a guy stay if he’s already a Top 5 pick.
Heh...watched their bowl game and other than their entire OL being dominant, the one guy who really stood out was their large cornfed TE...."who the hell's that guy?" I say to the tv, so I look him up. Stats are okay-ish until you realize that 29 catches for 434 yards and 3 TDs all lead the team (it's Iowa offense after all). But he's only a redshirt freshman. https://www.espn.com/college-football/player/_/id/5218931/dj-vonnahme
If I'm Moore and there's even the remotest chance that the Jets might draft me at #2 I'm going back to school.
