Some of yall are unbelievable. We’ve been BEGGING this team to get more junkyard dogs on the line to protect CJ. Now that we use a first round pick on a guy that most see as a day 1 starter at C and is considered the SWARMiest OL in the draft, yall all of a sudden don’t like it?! The hell is wrong with yall? This is exactly what we needed.

I can do without the post-pick interviews in this draft. They aren't exactly saying anything new or earth-shattering.
You can pick from any of the following :

    1) Thanks to deity
    2) Thanks to family
    3) Something unintelligible that makes you think he's high
    4) Something unintelligible that makes you think he's missing a few fries in his Happy Meal.

I agree. Maybe Wyatt Teller shifts to Center then. Really not sure about the pick. Don’t like it.

Yep, because teams are using NFL Network’s or ESPN’s draft rankings of best available…

Darn, I had hoped Price would be there at some point, but he’s a perfect fit for Seattle.

McDonald still there, but if he goes, we might need to grab Delp if we want him. Then 91 becomes best DT/LB remaining.

No. Rutledge will be the center. Or at least will be given every opportunity to earn that job. He worked out at C at the senior bowl and did well. He worked out at C in his visit with the Texans and obviously was good enough there for them to take him. Spending a first on a guy you think can be a high floor mauler of a C, on a roster ready to compete for a SB, with a QB behind him who badly needs to be protected, is totally fine.

Yeah I already said he’s likely playing Center. Just threw a maybe out there since Teller was here.

Seen your previous post too. It’s cool you like the pick but count me as one that doesn’t. You’re a lot higher on him than me. I don’t see what you see.

Just like the other poster, I don’t see a reason to spend a 1st rounder on a Center. I realize he can play C/G which makes him more valuable but just doesn’t sit right with me.

This isn't as much of a Caserio pick, as it is a Popovich pick. Popovich wasn't around when Lovie wanted Green. So there is hope this one works out.

Looks like SF was totally caught off guard since they ended up trading out of the 1st all together in order to regroup
