Did we really need another short guard? I do think he can get past a defender, which Reed cannot.

Hm. I really liked him but probably not for the top pick of the second round. He's really short and that's an issue that people have brought up.

If I had 31 I'd have looked at Meleek Thomas or Isaiah Evans for upside or Henri Veesaar.

But we have Thornton and we have to hope he's a great player at 6 feet.

 

Jokic was projected as mid 2nd and would have been a “not awesome” pick at #31 too…

He can shoot.... so he could get PT, and he won't really have to be coached up. He just isn't a point guard, he is a 6'0" two guard...
