Vecenie was just talking about Bruce. Apparently, he is a way undersized bucket getter who is super-efficient. Least he is not a defense first player
Thornton put up insane numbers this season, especially on efficiency. Kind of a do-it-all guy on the offensive end. Three level scorer, great three point shooter, great AST:TO ratio. But--he is a college senior and he is a short guard (built like a runningback though) without high-level NBA athleticism. This reads like "our analytics told us this guy is a monster, so we're making sure we get him". We'll see how it translates, sometimes college stars do, sometimes they don't.
Thornton Can't defend well Undersized Poor passer Can shoot well from 3 Older player - limited ceiling He won't really have to be developed
Yay my 2 favorite characteristics in a prospect: short and old! To be fair Brunson was those things too but he was a champion and player of the year.
