Well, Frias is making some strides towards chipping away at the 12.60 ERA (for the season) he had to start the month.
Lucas Spence went 3-6 with two doubles and an RBI triple for Corpus. The second double cleared the bases. Looks like Spence is rounding into form; even with his IL stint this year, his numbers aren't too far off from his first Corpus stint to end last season. He'll need to pick it up a bit if he wants to retain any illusions of having the upside of an everyday player. Drew Brutcher is now in my "not a top prospect, but he's a prospect" tier. He went 3-4 (finished a single shy of the cycle) and hit his 2nd homer since joining Corpus (5 season). There's not really much upside for a 1B prospect with paltry home run power unless he can lash doubles all over the field, though. At least he hits lefty, I guess?
