My interpretation of washed is not what they were. Yes, he's a good role player this year but I imagine it will only get worse and he's going to start acting out again when the Warriors don't give him a contract like he has every other time.

Yeah, he's a big reason they are there because some role players have GREAT value, like Tyson Chandler was the reason the Mavs won a championship for example.

The problem is that from your vantage point that Butler looked like a major player, he wasn't.

So the drop off feels significant for you while I saw him as a good but not great All Star reserve player who can make clutch buckets.

He isn't his younger self but the drop off isn't that bad because I didn't think the world of his prime self in the first place.

Yeah but they are paying him 60 million a year like he is a prime superstar. Anthony Edwards is only getting paid around 40-50 million per year. The Warriors mortgaged all their assets and their future cap space for a player who some wouldn't even consider an allstar anymore.

This was the year the Warriors had to win. They are only going to get older and the roster won't improve. Steph will be 38 years old coming off a hamstring injury next year.

The Steph part is alright because there are nostalgia and deep feelings with Steph retiring with the same team that drafted him.....

But Draymond almost joined the Grizzlies and Klay is gone.....they are about to rebuild no matter what.

I think if I were them I would re-construct Steph's retirement contract and sign him to a more team friendly deal.

If the Butler deal is a short one, it doesn't matter because he will come off the books soon enough.

Nah im not worried about what is alright for warriors fans. Im talking about championship contention. The warriors will not be a contender next year if these trends continue. The whole point of the Jimmy deal was to vault a .500 team into championship contention. If they are eliminated on Wednesday that means this deal was a failure.

Mavs just got Cooper to pair with AD and Kyrie, We might get Giannis to pair with Amen and Sengun, Spurs have healthy Wemby and Fox, T Wolves will still be good, Lakers will be better, ..... etc

This was the warriors window and it looks like its over for their dynasty. I agree on the rebuild part but even restructuring the contract won't help them. They don't have any assets and Jimmy is taking up a huge amount of cap space for 14 points or whatever he put up today.

Then why are you worried about that, what does it concern you if they are a contender or not.

I'd rather prefer that they would go away for a while......

The next option for them to stay relevant is Giannis but I doubt Giannis joins them.

Im making an assessment based on your previous comment about Jimmy. I am not worried about the Warriors at all lol. Im saying the dynasty is coming to an end and that they massively overpaid for an aging Jimmy Butler.

You mentioned "The Steph part is alright because there are nostalgia and deep feelings with Steph retiring with the same team that drafted him" but I was saying that is completely irrelevant to my original comment. I was saying Steph's injury and their limited cap mobility destroys any chance they have of contending for a championship. I wasn't talking about stephs legacy with the warriors or what the fans feel. I think your comment skewed what I was arguing.

Yes, they are not a contender, but they are good enough to play a prank on a young inconsistent team like Houston ....and annoy them.

And right now they seem to be content annoying other young teams who are not ready.

The BS refs empower them to do so bc “it’s the worriers “. “Steve Kerr is the hippie coach and …..gotta keep Stephanie semi-relevant and we’re scared of Donkey “.

    Real shiit show tbh.

    They are done.

We blew out Stephanie’s hamstring by forcing 7 games. Now we get to sit back and watch them get punked by a not so impressive Twolves squad.

Our young team got a nice lesson in playoff basketball. I believe it makes them stronger and hungrier.

Naz Reid has not been impressive. I know a lot of our fans liked him but after these playoffs so far I’m not interested.

Warriors season ending thanks to a hamstring. Seems fitting, seems right.

If the price is right, I'd love for him to be the backup C for the Rockets.

Last game against the Warriors, he was very shaky with the ball. It's like he lost his mind. But his regular season and playoff productivity are as good as it comes from a backup C.
