Imagine if those people who wanted to trade Framber had gotten their way. Outside of him and Hunter, the rotation is in shambles. We get to find out if the AAA rotation can produce at the big league level...
Gusto is listed as the SP for Friday. I bet if Blanco is hurt they let Gusto start Friday and Gordon Saturday.
Considering how badly we tend to lose against the crappy teams... this is going to get ugly. I bow down to our ecclesiastical masters, the Chicago White Sox.
You’re a little off in your analysis. The owner gave Elias the green light this offseason. He didn’t do anything. The GM is the problem right now, not the new ownership team. They were never gonna keep Byrnes, that’s not on them. He wanted out. Morton had a good year last year and was slated to be their 5th starter this year. Elias plucked Gibson off the street when Grayson Rodriguez and Bradish had setbacks. That proved to be stupid as Gibson looked completely cooked and was DFA’d. The biggest problem for them is that Gunnar, Adley, Westburg (injury), Holiday etc just aren’t playing well this year, and yes Adley has been slumping since last July, which I have pointed out a couple of times. The Orioles have a lot of good prospects. They will probably get over the hump again when their pitchers come back and they get a real manager. Probably next year.
They're in a much better place than they were at this time last year. I'm really worried abot the pitching/Altuve/Walker. Looks like Dana signed his very own JAbreu.
Expected 2025 rotation on 11/1/24: Valdez Brown Arrighetti Blanco McCullers Garcia In AAA: Blubaugh, Gusto, Gordon, Ullola, Walter, A Brown IL: Javier, France Current expected 2025 rotation: Valdez Brown McCullers Gusto Gordon Walter In AAA: Blubaugh, Ullola, Ivey, A Brown, Kouba? IL: Garcia, Arrighetti, Blanco, Wesneski, Javier, France
We’ll see. When I see them start spending I’ll believe it. Burnes wasn’t the only starting pitcher available. He hasn’t been good in Toronto but Santander was also a huge reason for their recent success. Regardless, much more likely they don’t win a WS any time soon than it is they become the next Astros.
Still have the benchwarmer B-Team 6-man rotation on IL... Team's half of its SP rotation is on IL. Fully expect the all you can eat Spaghetti dishes, Luis' hand that rocked the cradle, the second coming of Christian's invisiball, the Frenchman to return to their super-sayan kaiju forms. Appreciate these AAA minors talents stepping up when called upon. If he can stay his current form and continue to improve, I'd rather they bring him in than JV (if both are options)
They won 101 games 2 seasons ago without Burnes. For a season and a half they played .625 ball. Injuries and a shitty coach have been a problem. They made Burnes a good offer, he didn’t want to be there. looks like they may have dodged a bullet with santander.
I want to just fast forward to the time where this is the pitching situation: Starters: Brown, Framber, Arrigehtti, Blubaugh, Ullola AAA Depth- the two guys who pitched Monday and tuesday Medically retired- Lance Medically DFA'd- Garcia Wha ha happen wuz- punt to 2026- Javier & France Wake me up in 2027- Ronel Blanco. Minor league up and comers: Pecko, Fleury, Santos. That's my crystal ball as to how it's all going to look in July/August
