Didn't he take live BP last weekend? If he is only doing it once a week there is no chance he is coming back this year.
Huge Triumph fan here. That song was written for his aunt who was battling cancer. Good thing the Stros Medical staff didn't diagnose her. They would have called it a pain tolerance issue
Injuries suck man. What a tragedy of a season. I was holding out hope pretty well and who knows the future but the Hader one really feels like close to a death blow on a WS run.
If there is any team that can overcome all of these injuries, the Astros and their pitching braintrust can.
Who has whif potential and can hit the strike zone that I may be overlooking?? Tyler Ivey would be a hell of a story. Not feasible but a hell of a story
He seems to be "headed to Florida" every week. I don't know where he goes in between or why, though. Also not quite sure why he can't do live batting practice in Houston.
There’s more to it than this, but Hader had more appearances last year than other year in his career. He was on pace for second most this year. He threw the third most innings of his career last year (71 - more than 20% more than any year since 2019) and was on pace for the same this year (in fewer appearances).
That wasn’t what I meant by professional version of Augie. I was more referring to the fact that mother****er could see the future and all his hunches seemed to work out. I’ve become friends with Randy Boone over the years and it’s funny to hear him talk about AG.
I was so glad we didn’t trade for the arsonist. Lots of people wanted to. People say it would be a good idea. Nope.
