Not the same. Good enchiladas are another level. But bad enchiladas are not. BTW, good enchiladas aren't necessarily high priced and bad enchiladas can be expensive.
LOL No, unless you mean they both don't have a trainer. As far as I know neither of them had a trainer outside of the Astros organization and it is pretty clear neither of them used one. One of the few real criticisms I have had of the Astros pitching development is the number of international guys the Astros have produced that have made it to the big leagues with very little focus on strength and fitness training. My understanding is that the Astros have changed that - and reiterated the need for fitness - but I can name numerous pitchers that have come up through the system that simply were not in good enough fitness.
This team has Nick Hernandez, Hector Neris, and Kaleb Ort in the 'pen. I am fine with them bringing back Pressly as long as the top 5 keep their current roles and 1 of these 3 is the casualty.
Both to an extent, but I mostly just do not trust that he is going to do the things that he needs to do to age well - he hasn't shown any understanding that he needs to more than work on his pitches, that he needs to stay in good physical shape and needs to be strong.
Meeting an out-of-town (waaaaay out of town, New Zealand) cousin for lunch in a bit...I think you've decided what I'm ordering.
Work ethic aside…. They completely changed his arm slot/release point/pitching motion. That’s going to mess with any pitcher at any point.
They did, and that is a concern for sure. He was already complaining about it before he got hurt and after the rule change.
Not just the windup though… His entire delivery has been re-done. Almost seems to have more torque, less arm extension, more “shot-put” type throwing now.
Why does Yordan seem to keep going back and forth between Houston and Florida for his "hitting progression"? And didn't he go with the team to Seattle around the All-Star Break to continue his hitting?
So Arrighetti should start tomorrow and Javier should take Alexander’s place in the rotation late this week. I’m interested to see if McCullers needs a rehab assignment or not, 4 innings of sim game makes me think he’s going to try to just come back; usually once a guy goes full strength for 4+ innings they are cleared to return. Dubin should be back in the bullpen next week. France and Garcia are both showing drop in velo vs pre-injury so my guess is they’ll be rehabbing as long as possible and may not return this season. I would bet all of the other players are out for the season, those updates on Yordan and Walter are discouraging. The playoffs are in 8 weeks so anyone not on a rehab stint in the next 2 weeks is probably toast.
As a huge fan of PRP therapy, I think this is great if it avoids surgery. But if it doesn't work, it just means surgery in 3 months and Paredes not being ready to start next season. Which I guess would resolve the "where do you play Correa and Paredes" questions...
