    25. Houston Texans

Yates' pick: Tetairoa McMillan, WR, Arizona

The wait ends for McMillan. He's not blazing fast, but he wins with an excellent catch radius, strong hands and very good routes. The Texans must hit receiver and offensive line hard in the draft, and I like the fit of McMillan joining Nico Collins, Christian Kirk and eventually Tank Dell (knee).

    58. Houston Texans

Kiper's pick: Anthony Belton, OT/G, NC State

We obviously can't go two rounds without any offensive line reinforcements for Houston. The team gave up 54 sacks last season and made a bunch of big changes this offseason -- but there are still holes. Belton played left tackle in college but has the versatility to fit in wherever the Texans need him.

    79. Houston Texans

Yates' pick: Jared Wilson, C/G, Georgia

Let's keep rolling on the Texans' offensive line. Wilson is my top-ranked center, but he has the versatility to also play guard.

    89. Houston Texans

Yates' pick: Ty Robinson, DT, Nebraska

The powerful and disruptive Robinson will help the Texans' trenches on defense. He broke out in 2024 with seven sacks and 15 tackles for loss.

If the wr1 somehow fell to us at 25, that would be a miracle.

not really fond of the other picks after

I just had a very unlikely draft where Membou was available at 25 and Mbow is available at 58. It could get confusing. I think this is only the second time this combination was available in over 200 drafts.

This is a solid thought process.

I'm pretty good at evaluating OL. A guy I would recommend you checkout if you want to learn about OL play is Brandon Thorn on X. Our very own Seth Payne is pretty good at this too.

Yeah, Caserio has a 2026 1st which he could use to move up to say 1-10 if he wishes and if he thinks one of Conerly/Banks is a franchise LT it would be worth it. He also has two 2nds a 3rd and two 4ths in 2026.

He also could use 1-25 and one of the 2026 2nds to move up 7-8 spots if one of the OT's fall. This is what's most likely what's going to happen IMHO. Although there's certainly a case for trading down. Neat thing about how Caserio drafts he's gone both ways, CJ/WA trading up and Lassiter/Bullock trading up/down. I say this to say I dont have a clue about what Caserio is going to do. I do know this if there's a player he really likes he will find a way to get that player.

Yes Booker can do this, so could Green. Bad feet allows defenders to get into his chest in pass pro. He can holdup against kids in college playing this way. Against grown men in the NFL this wont work as Green found out. Feet are too slow. I would pick him at 3-79.

If we use pick 1 on upgrading the line I wouldn't be upset with using it on one of; Booker or Simmons... obviously if Banks falls he would be tops on that list.

I'm iffy on Zabel and would prefer to use it on a premier perimeter player like; Loveland, Golden, Egbuka in no particular order. I feel like there are options beyond round 1 to upgrade the line play... but it's hard to trust what hasn't been fruitful as far as OL goes, regardless of coaching regime (Green, Scruggs, Fisher, etc).

Jared Wilson from Georgia is an excellent C/OL. I'd be elated to get him!

I like Seth. Just watching the pancake clip, I see potential problems with his hands outside of the torso which could lead to calls of holding with regula

I found it interesting listening to McShay's comments yesterday about the Tackles. He had said that Membou, Ersery, Conerly, and Simmons all have red flags that teams will have to discuss before the draft. And that the red flags have in large part already been reflected in the rankings. Campbell and Banks were the only clean prospects. But if you need a Left Tackle, you will have to draft one in the 1st round, because after the 1st they will be gone. Trapilo is a late 2nd rounder and then there are only flawed developmental guys after that. Now the rankings seem to make a little bit more sense to me because on film, Simmons and Ersery are easily the best Tackles in the draft.

This is the dumbest, sh*t take ever.

you don’t look at a pick number on its own, always depends on a team picking at x number, their needs, who was available and who got drafted afterwards.

    people are dumb.

Give me Conerly or Banks. No Texans fan should want Simmons after seeing Howard's play after the same exact injury. After seeing Trent Brown be the starting LT for the Pats SB winning team I wouldn't rule out Ersery at 1-25.

Logan Brown and Jack Nelson are my 2 developmental guys. Both are talented and can play OT/OG. I'm higher on them than most.
