I think McMillan(unlikely)/Golden/Harris/Higgins/Royals are the receivers I would be drafting for this team in the 1st 2 rounds. Royals/Golden may struggle early with press due to lack of competition and experience, but they just move different and aren't tiny. They remind of the DJ Moore/Terry McClaurin archetype that don't dominate target share, but possess explosiveness to bust a big gain and seem to always get open on 3rd down. Harris is just a cold blooded killer in man, put him in a group with Collins and Kirk, and you have a 3 man WR corps that all excel vs. man coverage. I know most of the popular sleepers at WR involve the combine standouts like Donte Thornton, Jr. and Isaac Teslaa, but I lean towards Pat Bryant and Andrew Armstrong in the late 3rd round and beyond WR group. Armstrong seemed to produce even with below average QB play and Bryant is one of the most collegiate players I've seen, he steps up big in crucial moments late in games. They both have great metrics against ranked opponents too.
The slowest for a WR ever was in 2016, De'runnya Wilson 4.85. All the other 4.80 guys at wr went undrafted or in the 7th, no one familiar. The famous Rice combine was 4.71.
Fun mock from last night: 38 Grey Zabel OL 53 Benjamin Morrison CB 77 Harold Fannin Jr. TE 79 Ozzy Trapilo OT 88 Omar Norman-Lott DT 109 Tyler Shough QB 139 Kyle Williams WR 157 Pat Bryant WR 221 Brashard Smith RB
I decided to trade back with a different strategy. I planned on picking OG Jackson, but he and the usual suspects were gone by 32. A couple of new flavors were picked. 32. Kenneth Grant DT Michigan 58. Tate Ratledge OG Georgia 64. Mason Taylor TE LSU 79. Jayden Higgins WR Iowa State 89. Chris Paul Jr. LB Ole Miss (maybe a mistake here as I passed on WR Royals, DT Collins, and OT Hollin Pierce) 134. Kyle Williams WR Washington State 143. Brashard Smith RB SMU
