I would be curious how much the OL issues are more related to Mental vs Physical issues.

Shaq Mason was horrible but its not typical that OL are over the hill at 30/31. Maybe there were lingering injury issues.

I would take TE or WR1 with pick 1.

Another Mock that's Golden. PFF's mock has the Texans trading with the Patriots and Patriots selecting Golden.
I like that it's different. 4 trades in the first round and something Nick would definitely do. Although last year they were trying to get back into the first with no help whatsoever.

"Golden has Stefon Diggs-like movement skills in his releases and route running and could be a WR1 in the NFL."
    That's what the Texans want

With the time and investment we've made to the line within the last few years, via drafts and free agency, I myself can honestly say it's a talent issue. Loading up through the draft will definitely be route that MUST be taken by our Front Office. The tricky part will be them nailing each pick, which hasn't quite been done for O-line purposes.

Also, I wouldn't worry too much about offensive weapons. There are always WR that shake free from teams throughout the offseason and even during the season itself. As of right now Deebo Samuels is the big name guy that has already requested a trade, last year we got a chance to nab up Diggs for a 2nd round pick.

This past trade deadline; Adams, Cooper, and Jeudy were all impactful WR on different teams to end the season. I'm confident that if we can net a guy like Danielle Hunter through free agency, when we were just on the cusp of becoming a true contender, our attraction has grown that much more significant since then.

I was so high on him this time last year.

I heard he has a lot of character issues though. I'll accept that from defensive players because I love that edge but not from WRs. I like my WRs to have attitudes like Andre Johnson and Nico Collins.

Which receivers and DL prospects do you like for the Texans?

Do you have a preference between Zabel and Jackson?

I'm glad you made that comment about Nick trading out of the 1st rnd and then attempting to move up.

If he traded out of the 1st rnd, what draft capital was he going to use to move back into the 1st rnd?? I never understood that ideology.

When he traded out, he probably picked up a 3rd and 6th rnd pick, so he may have to use the same capital to move back, so what's the use in trading ? To me, the smarter play is to wait until DRAFT DAY, to see how the board is falling.....THEN TRADE BACK, not a month before.

In the Texans old offense, although Diggs will fit in just about any offense.

Elite teams are going to press WRs no matter what offense is ran. Making Demeco not want a " separator" is like making him go away from the word "swarm".

If you want to draft a separator Tez Johnson is your guy. If you want a guy like Nico then Savion Williams is your guy as long as you dont overload him with to much to learn.
