Some interesting tidbits from Aaron Wilson. Banks' agent had his ceiling as 7 and his floor as 13. Texans knew it was a long shot. Wanted Booker badly but Dallas wouldn't budge at 12. They briefly thought about trading up for Egbuka but moved on. Loved the Michigan DT Grant and would've seriously considered him at 25 if he had gotten there. Had a high grade on Ersery and believe he can be a long term piece on the oline. Interior olineman Eli Cox got the biggest udfa guarantee at $250k and it's very possible he makes the team.

I think folks are under appreciating the Noel pick. I see plenty of good vibes in the above online sentiment, but also seeing talking heads only talking about Higgins starting. Yes, Kirk likely has the advantage, but injuries are starting to catch up with him in the past few years.

And put on Noel's tape again and watch him catch in contested lanes. I love Higgins and he could really blossom but it might also take him a bit to get going. I think Noel might be that guy who, when he gets on the field, flashes lightning and we all suddenly are super grateful he slide in the 3rd where he did.

Do you have a guess as to how much input Texans ownership has with regard to drafting players?

Thanks @Red.Glare ! I'm in the hospital trying to catch via CF!

It's been a roller-coaster, but I’m still in the game. Really like our 1st 3 picks, trying to get caught up on the rest.

Happy to hear you're recovering well and still following and catching up. It will be interesting to see if Caley has the same magic with his picks on offense, as DeMeco does on defense. I think we got some hidden gems this year too.

Glad he liked the Marks pick. I certainly didn't understand that or the Smith selection

I think Reed is a fit for Demeco which allows utilization of a strength and cover for weaknesses. From what I understand, his forte is to cover the slot receiver in a max pressure package which allows a Petre or CJGJ to do their thing.

But I could be wrong or listening to someone else who is. Verification by someone else who has also heard this would be appreciated.

I'm hoping we're all pleasantly surprised by Caley and his staff.

Can't wait to see new acquisitions and draft picks compete in the summer.

Caley new weapons should be fun to unleash.
