Hard Knocks 2025 Joe Flacco vs Kenny Pickett vs Deshaun Watson vs Shedeur Sanders vs Dillon Gabriel "Legendary" QB battle
How much did they have to gate Shedur? Of course same could be said about the Browns. Pretty remarkable drop.
The funniest part is how damn excited the Browns were to draft Deshaun in the first place. Now he's just one of 5 guys, watching them compete for his spot this off-season while healing from another injury again. He's gone from Star to Mr. Irrelevant.
Ohio State QB's Will Howard and Kyle McCord are still not drafted. Both of them are going to be good developmental QB's in the league.
This may have been the best spot for Shadeur to go to and make an impact. That QB list looks hideous.
I don't think people realize how unrealistic it is for Shedeur to start this year. His college offense was essentially backyard football with a screen game as the run game. No under center experience, 3 total snaps in 2 TE sets, 3/4 of dropbacks were in 4/5 WR sets with minimal route/passing game concepts. 30% of completions were screen passes, huddled on 30% of dropbacks. Because of the heavy WR personnel, has no experience against base defenses. Deion did his son no favors hiring an NFL assistant to design an offense that didn't prepare him for the NFL. Browns will revert back to the West Coast, wide zone play action offense that Stefanski likes to run this year.
